    Default Specs for runescape?

Somewhy, my computer can't handle runescape well, it used to just fine:

    3ghz cpu
    512mb geforce 6200 gpu
    3gb ram
    java 6.31
    Windows xp

    What could the problem be?

I started making a script on my other computer and can't finish it on this one.

RuneScape runs on max 14 fps, but it's usually 7.
    I can't work with that.

    What could I do?
I was thinking of installing other os and figure it out on a fresh start, but can't just yet.
    Thank you in advance.

Requs are very low, you have plenty!
If you're using SMART then check link in my sig.

Otherwise search the Runescape forums tech support section, they haw a couple threads which lay out things to do in rare lag occurrences like this.

do you mean runescape as a game or do you mean s.m.a.r.t?
a 6200 is very low profile

the onboard of my mobo has a better rating,

    is that 6200 on board?

if not check wat in onboard cos it cant be much worse .

you can get any old gfx card for £40 which will be 30 times better

The advice yohojo gave. I would look there.
Also, I wanted to add if you think your whole computer is being affected, you can check to see if you have a process taking up memory or cpu time. ctrl+shift+esc -> processes tab. Processes like Pando and YahooAU..
I sort of suspect this isn't your problem though.

My computer should be able to run Runescape on high detail, but I have to play on minimum detail because of how laggy it is. I'm not referring to playing on SMART, I just mean in general.

I will say that my Acer Aspire One use to run RS at a reasonable frame rate (around 20 I think), and after the bot nuke, it runs at around 3-5. Mind you it is shared ram (memory for graphics as well as for applications) and a 1.6 intel atom.
Of all the things I have lost, I miss my mind the most.

I can play Call of duty MW3 with a resolution of 1920*1080 max everything with 50+ fps...

but playing RS full screen max settings, no freaking chance....
I have noticed though, if your computer has not been formatted in awhile.
Re-installing Java seems to make improvements.
