    Default Simba on linux stable?

Hi, first off I already know how to setup simba on a linux build.
My question is does simba run as stable/well on linux as it does windows? I'm renting a vps with windows 2008 and need to know whether the 14.95/mo im payign for windows is worth it to run my accounts flawlessly or if it will work just as well on a linux system.

Just run the windows binary on top of Wine on Linux. I think PS has problems on Linux. Lape should work fine natively on Linux though.

one more question, would I use just as much cpu/ram running a windows vm as using wine?

You'd use much less using Wine.

No, he asked if using Wine would use less resources than using a Windows virtual machine. It would be the same on Windows; something like cygwin would use less resources than a Linux virtual machine.

There are a few known issues, like code hints freezing the client (something with deadlocks due to crashes in pascalscript) and iskeydown doesn't work. For the most part, it should work OK with lape if you use the SRL-5 lape branch.

im sorry, to answer sckwarrior question, simba will run just as well on linux as it does on windows (but in many cases you will have to remove the standart 'stable' wine version and install a newer test/beta version of wine, manually (can be complicated to do)

its funny that a linux setup is both more efficient and cheaper than a windows one while simba is originally disigned for windows. that is what i was trying to say
