    Default HTPC Build Ideas?

    HTPC Build Ideas!

Must be small(ish) and look decent (most likely black) and sexy, have powerful enough stuff to do 1080p videos etc whatever else you would need to do on it, make it quiet (either the parts themselves, or extra padding or whatever to help), make it at cheap as you can with just as much power needed to do it's job, no more no less!

Let's see how cheap we can get while still having it be able to do all it needs!

Pretty cool eh? Unfortunately you have to wait quite awhile before they're in stock again...

That sight is pretty "weird", all the reviews are of complaints only a few said they get their products and don't want to return it.

Man that sites a pain in the arse to use.

I'm looking at getting one but redstore does not ship to US and without shipping it's already to $45...

When in stock I'm really looking to get one.

Double post. Looks like raspberry pi's are going to be hard to come by since now they have to go through CE testings.... That and the stupid high demand. They sold out the first day on pre-orders.

Looks like US customers can pre-order them from element14 now. Model B only.(http://us.element14.com/raspberry-pi...?Ntt=raspberry)

Mines ordered. They're unsure when they'll get out, the computer system auto generated the August backlog date but the raspberry pi website says that was an error.

Get some AMD APU (Fusion is latest cool mumbo-jumbo?), they are great for this kind of stuff Decent CPU/GPU for your HTPC needs. Then get XBMC on it.
Cooling can be done passively if you got decent heatsink, RAM doesn't need its own cooling. And look for a nice case
I made a new script, check it out!.

Cant go wrong, plays all COD's at max and 1920x1080

    Even Crysis at High settings.
That's very impressive, I'd definitely consider one of these for my next build.
