    Default Where to start?

I know this is the tut forum, I've been lurking for many years on another obsolete account; that is around 06 era.

I truly am inspired by the work you guys put out. And now it is my time to contribute, I want to learn, where do I start?

I heard from many sources, even instructors about learning assembly first, how true is this?

If assembly is necessary, do I go about learning from a book, e-book (I have a few open sourced books already), or should I go with an instructor in class (But I doubt there are classes for assembly)?

If I ditched assembly should I just stick with Simba, and create simple scripts, and learn it's language?

So first off great to see that other people else want to start to learn scripting! I started off myself like 4-5 days ago. I think a good thing is the "help" thing in this forum.
Here is the link for scripting help http://villavu.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=70

Then I think this is the best turorial for the real beginning

If you would like to learn with videos go to YohojoSRL´s channel
    http://www.youtube.com/user/YoHoJoSRL

Then I wish you a good starting off. Made my self a quite good powerminer in the last days. If you got any questions just PM me here. Just have a huge test in school tomorrow. So i have to let this quite short. But seriously I think I could explain you the basics.

    * Maybe any adming can put this into the "help" part of this Forum?

Yes I am an absolute beginner , So that is where you think would be best to start? What about assembly, do I just scrap the idea?

And thanks guys for the other links I've bookmarked them.

Are you serious? I sended you some links to work through? You definietly have to read those sections. I was a 100% beginner like 4-5 days ago and now i can script my own bots. It is quite easy to learn just keep looking through tutorials. And if you got specific questions ask again. Start off with the tutorial link i wrote there. "Cut down you first RS tree with Simba" or something like that.

    * If you want to learn scripting you have to read very carefully. Thats the main point I learned so far. So get you a huge Coffee and work through the tutorial beginner section (and some of the intermediates tutorials, using DTM and others). Should take you like 10 hours then you got it (first day). Then you should start getting through your own ideas for a script (second day untill dead )

Good link, never saw it. I started off instantly with tutorials how to script. Then watched some of YohojoSRL´s video tutorials ( they are pretty awesome ). And then I found the Help section and with it I found the path.

Btw. which flawless script you wrote so far? Seen that changend in you sig.
