How the hell does it being open source have anything to do with the safety of our accounts?

if only you understood how stupid that comment was....

We're safe because we act human-life, don't take our information directly through the client, and because we're still considerably a small community. We use colors, which change, meaning where we click etc. will change.

But can't jagex tell that we are clicking the same color over and over again?

ah about botting. If you bot 18/7 it will probably get banned. I use weekends to bot like 10h/max

Colour ftw, I highly doubt anyone has been banned using colour lately. If anything, the injection bots/reflection are the first ones to recieve the ban hammer from the so called plan optimus which I'm starting to believe, will never come.

If Jagex was smart, they wouldn't bring optimus. More revenue.

That's where tolerance comes in, so we're actually clicking the same shade of color everytime, like a human would We gather a bunch of colors, say red for a furnace, then we search for a color with tolerance which will result in most shades of the red for the furnace. Add in randomness of SRL's mouse functions and we actually click a different pixel everytime.

No and because you can add tolerance to colours, it doesn't always select the same colours. Also, sometimes colours change when objects are reloaded.

This made me lol irl! Hilarious!

On a serious note - being open source has nothing to with the safety of Simba in terms of getting caught botting. However, it does mean that no coding is hidden - so in terms of security and account stealing, it is safe.

What about the fact that it loads through SMART? Doesn't that make it less safe?

Lol because things are open source you think its safe?.. regardless from what i hear smart is actually detectable.. but do they detect it? no.

Have you looked through the entire source code of simba to make sure it is safe? No? Then shut up.

    Yes and No.

We currently are fine using SMART, as it loads RS to look like (I believe) FireFox. If, in the future, Jagex starts specifically looking for the use of SMART we might encounter trouble, but the use of a client itself cannot condemn a player, as I have played legit using SMART before.

How is that relevant to anything?

    What is the ban rate?

Just because a program is open source doesn't immediately make it safe to use.

I believe SRL's banrate is 3 in the last....~4 years and that was with REFLECTION.

I do not believe we have EVER had a ban that resulted from only the use of color.

I've never had a ban with either reflection or colour. The only bans I have gotten were using RSbot and that was only because I botted for too long.

Personally I ive never had an account banned and I try and bot as much as possible I aim for 24/7... I think its down to luck, nothing to do with how long you bot for.

The safty of you bot is not based on simba its self if you are worried about being banned. The safty of getting banned in based then on the script writers like myself to make sure all the bots we make have good failsafes and anti ban. Also clicking the same color can be avoided by adding random x,y s when you have a mouse click. I trust my accounts with everything that I make if I use another persons bot I always look through it and watch it play for a good amount of time so I can see exactly how well it works. So I would not worry about simba being unsafe, and ban rates are the scripters deal, and the people that blindly run them.
