    Default CPU Overclocking question

Ok so a few weeks ago I upgraded my pc, I got a AMD FX 6100, its a 6 core cpu normaly 3.30 ghz, Ive successfully found that My temps stay normal(30-35c) overclocking it to 3.70 ghz(Plan on pushing 4.4 when I get my new cpu cooler), My question is, Is it safe to leave overclocked as long as my temps are fine? or should I be changing it back to defaults when overclocking isnt necessary?

well when I bought it I read that it had Overclocking capabilities up to 4.4, Thats why I said im going to push it to 4.4, and the only reason im overclocking in the first place is to play GTA IV lol, with this High rez realism mod thingy..I can run it now with out o\c at 3.3ghz but Its laggy, and my vid card sux (geforce gts 450 o\c to 900mhz) so I figured overclocking my cpu would make it less laggy, at least i think so, cant test if it works because i accidently deleted gta from my hdd when trying to uninstall ubuntu..Im re downloading now...sorry if some of this doesnt sound right..i was kinda high while typing this

It should be fine if you have interval breaks or controlled playing time...

What would define a stable overclock? Im using my Mobo's bios to do it, It has thing thing called OC Genie II. I think its stable(Im new to cpu O\Cing) If you know a better way I'd be happy to give it a go.

If your graphic card is the bottle neck, overclocking you CPU isn't going to improve the performance. But it's safe to do as long as the temp stays 'low'.
