    Default Gf Bank

Hi, a friend of mine has been keylogged/rat..Not sure what happened anyways.. How can you be sure that the pc is 100% clean? Heard that some RATS can still work after formatting the pc. Not sure.
    Thanks in advance

Reformatting is the only way to be 100% safe.
A reformation and fresh install of the OS will for sure get rid of anything wrong.

To stir the pot, I've heard of viruses that actually stay in your graphhax card's memory, therefore sticking with you through a reformat!

Yeh, nice way to support him.....

Anyways, MalwareBytes AntiMalware is what I use, worked like a charm last time I was RAT'd

EDIT: Keyloggers are easier to deal with, you can download software which messes with your key strokes so they don't get the correct information.

It can't be in the ram of your graphics card, it consistently deletes itself.
Just re-download the driver would fix any suspicion of it being in your Graphics Card (But a regular re-format is your best option (deletes all drivers))

Ram gets blanked out without energy, the graphics card has ram-like memory in it so when the computer powers off, it gets cleaned too.

As these guys said, memory can only hold information when it has electricity. So it would be impossible for it to live in GPU memory if the computer is ever shut off before the format. Anti-malware bytes has also always taken care of any problems I've had. Smart web browsing is by far the easiest solution however (for future prevention).

If you format your pc, you will be safe. Make sure your hard drive only has one partition, if it has more than one. Well the virus may be hiding in another partition, Regardless if you format your pc, it wont auto-run itself until you execute the virus again.

There are some advanced backdoor trojan RAT virus worms that's can persist in your computer case, and in some rare circumstances even spread into your local power grid. Only way to make 100% certain that you won't lose your Runescape bank again would be to nuke your town/city.

    Or use a pin.

Funny you say that, I had all these things AT ONCE!

The trojan was executed by the spartan
Rat was easy, peanut butter and a mouse trap
Virus = Bed rest, nothing else can cure that
Worms, I scratched my bum red raw, the tablets were chocolate flavored though.

    Am I a good troll?
