Default Be carefull running scripts while logged in

I don't know if this has been posted before i did a search and i couldn't find anything related

This has happened a few times to me running scripts its not the script or the script maker that is the problem from what i understand sometimes its not recognizing that a player is already logged in

if you run a script while logged in the script will try to log in
entering your user name and password into the chat this is probably
the reason why some people are getting hacked while running scripts

just be careful if your running a script while your already logged in

Most scripts do not do this... What scripts does this happen to?

I never enter my information into a script.
I log in myself, in the name/pass portion I enter something like lol, jk, and hit play. Sometimes it will write "lol" and "jk" sometimes it will just run the script.

This happened to me with scripts that have a Form, and only if you login yourself and hit play and not let the bot log you in.

This is what I've said from the beginning, disable smart when the client loads never type your info into the script and auto log + do pin yourself thats how most people "" GET HACKED "" and blame the client owners for hacking them..

I cant tell you how many times ive seen scripts tell peoples users and pass infront of everyone at SW....

Your password is always blocked out when you try to say it in the game. It will most likely give Jagex a heads up because nobody types up their username and password unless their bot screws up.

Well i haven't ran any scripts recently but i know it did this one time with msi
when i was chopping yews near port sarim a few months ago

as i said its not the script causing this it might be something inside srl
does it actually check if a player is logged in before it tries to login?

I'm not suggesting you guys (SRL Devs) are doing any wrong because this can be fixed by the scripter or anyone all i am saying is just be cafeful

if you type your username and password together it will not be blocked

    username: John
    password: Doe1234

if you type JohnDoe1234 inside the chat it does not get blocked thats what happens sometimes

Well i believe anything you try to say in the chat box that resembles your password it won't say it out loud.

Unless they have changed it recently but I can type my password in game with it not being blocked out.

Instead, this dialogue pops out in the chat box: You appear to be telling someone your password - please don't! If you are not, please change your password to something more obscure! It is recommended that players do not attempt this, as an unintentional misspelling of your password can give make it obvious what your password is. For instance, if you made your password "sharks", whenever you would try to say,"buying 20 sharks" or something like that, nobody would see what you wanted to buy. However, the filter cannot filter your password if you say it backwards, or with a space in-between the letters.
This was taken from wiki, saying when you type your pass in, its not said out loud and there is a msg that warns you...

this is not the reason people are getting hacked because the game does not let you say your password

You guys read what i said wrong it does not enter your password on its own

it will enter parts of your username and password close together so it is visible in the chat

    Example:

    Username: Bob
    Password: 12345

It will enter into the chat: ob12345 so basicly its just entered bobs password visible to all

try it out yourself enter a few letters before typing your password into the chat and it will display it
do not put a space go somewhere so nobody can see it when you type it

I've never had this happen, I start scripts logged in all the time.

It's a bug in SRL, where it thinks you lagged out(?). I've had it happen many, many times (but not recently). It has nothing to do with the script.

The title just doesn't make sense:
Be carefull running scripts while logged in
So you're saying we should run scripts while not logged in?

Anyway, there is a reason for this. In the script, the writer has most likely just called LogInPlayer; in the mainloop.

The correct way to do this would be:
    Simba Code:
    if not (LoggedIn) then
LogInPlayer; // only calls if not already logged in

Check to see if scripts have that before running, it should fix the problem.

LoginPlayer checks this, as have the scripts on the occasions it has happened. Like I said, this is an SRL bug.

It has happened to me once. Fortunately my password got blocked haha. Well, there wasn't anyone that could have seen it in their chatboxes anyways. Was a result of being impatient and running/stopping the script while being half-logged in I believe.. Hm.

Script source code available here: Github

It depends on when you pause the script to log in manually. If you do it right as the log in screen pops up and log in manually, it will still try to type it in when you unpause it.
