Default Anyone flip on ebay/amazon IRL

Any of you guys buy stuff on ebay/amazon/garage sale/flea market/craigs list/etc and then resell?

    Explain your process.
What items do you normally go for/specialize in.
How is it for you, how much do you make on average per month etc.

Every Saturday me and my cousin go around to garage sales and buy shit, then sell. we usually make about $50 each + gas money. It's not good money, but its fun, and sometimes you come across really awesome stuff.

Well I personally don't flip, but a friend of mine does and he's done quite well with it he mainly stuck to electronic like phones, iPods, laptops and such. He did make quite a bit doing this, he started so he could buy a car and about 2-3 months later he bought his first car from flipping. Oh and he used Craigslist or Kijiji( Not sure if that's available in the states)

i sold over 3 bill gp on ebay ..stopped now!

at the moment i sell hookah pipes and smoking related products(rizla ect) although they dont like it.

i also sell sex aids.vibrators are a good seller tbh.

remember to wait for free listing

look at what sells i.e.= http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/ref=zg_bs_nav
then try and source a few items or even better dropsell but dont act like your a dropseller.

Also how do you know what is a decent enough deal go resell for a good enough profit? Just know/have a guess on the market?
I don't like want to always have my phone out and loop up/compare prices on the spot but maybe I will .

@above guy, lol how'd you get into that? Where so you get your stuff?

I go big and do car motors, parts, cars, dirtbikes quads, anything with a motor really.
You gotta know what the stuff is selling for and when you find a great deal, snag it. Most I made was $2,000 Cdn.
*edit* I use Kijiji mainly, dont like waiting for ebay, unless I can go and pick it up.

I never thought about this but it seems a nice way to earn some extra money. Maybe video games could sell at kijiji like buy a game for 20$ and sell it for 25$. And smoking stuff as bong´s and pipes as the price of them varies a lot. Maybe you know Weedstar with Ziggy Jackson as the owner. You could contact him and if you are good in talking he could sell it to you with very good prices and you can sell the bong´s etc. at kijiji a little bit under the Headshop price. So that are the first things I thought about that fast.
    Good Luck with it Yohojo!

I find that there are some particular only trading cards such as the panini mexico 70 cards. They are sometimes sold in large packs of 500 or so for only a couple $s. They can easily sell for $1.50 each individually or you can sell the team or flag cards for $15 each

i know some people who do it. mostly parts and stuff for autos but i used to buy snakes of kijiji and resell em. sometimes people will sell a bumblebee ballpython for like 200$ because "hes aggressive" or "he bit me" AHD I JUST LOL ball pythons are the calmest snakes in the world. yea any snake is jumpy at times and some a little more then others but seriously? a bumblebee bp sells for 400-600 as a hatchling, as a juvi or adult it'll go upto around 800 to the right buyer or even 1000+ if its female or a high quality male adult.

if you dont hate reptiles you could also buy when they're young. and sell once they get a little older. this is extreamly profitable but you also need to breed your own rats for snakes and insects for some types lizards. but seriously you can buy a female pinstripe for approx 300$ once she hits about 1500 grams in weight shes already at 1000-1500. but takes like a year or so and knowing how to acurately probe the snake to find out its sex. and if you poke it to hard you could destroy its reproductive organs or even kill the thing.

lol its not for everyone but you can make bank.

I buy old comic books from stupid collectors and then sell later for giant profit. For example, I bought a 1985 print Watchmen(first print as a whole) for 20 bucks, put it on a local ebay-like thing and got 200 bucks.

What breeding level do I need for that?

I have a cousin that flips all kinds of phones (mostly Iphones) on craigslist and ebay. He makes a few hundred a week/month. It's a nice hobby for him.

Many people won't tell you their secrets, although I have a small ebay buisness forming and hoping to get big like a friend of mine (he's 28 married, making over 70 grand a year). But that I'd like to myself, also Craigslist is easy, buy phones and resell them.

    Just be smart when buying.

    Good Luck!

Personally, I order fake stuff from manufacturers and sell them for 100%-200% profit (depending on how long you would like to wait for each sale) on craigslist.

Fake stuff like Coach, Prada, ect...?

Some things that I used to do with my dad, but are no longer worth it.
-Handcuffs: Buy on eBay or from Smith and Wesson, people will pay stupid money for them for sex
-Steering Columns: used to be able to go get 10 of them at local junkyards for $50 to $75 and sell them for $100+ each!
-Gun stocks: Buy old M14/M1A1 gun stocks and refinish them! 10 for $300 typically could net $300 each once refinished!

Just anything that seems like there is a hole in the market for it. Personally I would shy away from things involving to much technology because it's always out of date.

Another thing I might get into over the summer is AR15/M16 parts, but you need to be knowledgeable to make any money with it!

E: Of course some of these things might make you or loved ones uncomfortable (guns and gun parts), or they might even be illegal in your state/country! Read the laws first!

E2: Just noticed you live in California, so most of the profitable guns/gun parts are out for you, but look into AR15/M16 stuff! Depending on the area you live in, it might be really really profitable!

    I used to "flip" DJ/Production gear when I used to DJ/Produce;
    1. I used to just check craigslist a few times a day for any new postings
    2. If I see any good deals on a product I know will sell fast, and is at a good price get info
    3. Go pick up
    4. Sell it in about a week
    5. Profit
+ Get to mess around with gear while in my possession

I know some people that do. You can find places that auction off pallets of goods for cheap. Easy to resell on ebay.

It really takes awhile to get to know the prices of things. You can do anything you come across you just have to get familiar with prices.
