A VPS is a "Virtual Private Server".

People use them to outsource their botting. You can download a botting client or simba and run your bots/scripts without having to use your own computer's memory. It's basically another computer that you have full control over (via the internet), inside of your computer.

Pretty sure you can't bot with a VPN. But as said above, you can remotely control a VPS to run bots on without using your own RAM and CPU.

I'm confused can you run bots on a vpn or not, us a vpn and a vps different? Virtual private network and virtual private server?

VPS != VPN. You can't run a bot on VPN. You can run a bot on VPS. A VPN is just a tunnel you use to access the "internet".
