Question Botting + talking = no ban?

I never leave any bot alone for more than 1 hour, something totally different to when i used to reflection bot. I guess because I watch my bot and solve any randoms that appear that my ban rate will be way lower than reflection.

My question is that whenever someone speaks to me in rs such as 'hey there' or 'hey u bot bro??', i always respond near instantly because i never leave my bots alone; does this mean that even though the bot may not be fully human-like my chance of getting banned is near 0 because I talk?

I'm a little curious, any feedback is appreciated

well i fully botted my account and did it same way like u and didnt get any infraction ...
so i think its extremely low chance of you getting banned ...
I botted 70 - 99 str for like 15 days straight while talking in the mornings and leaving the bot overnight and got no infraction
forgot to say :: inb4Omg leecher

No this isn't true I could run a script that as no antiban and talk and I would almost definitely get banned. If you use a well written script and talk you are LESS LIKELY to get banned.

    ban rate?
I've been 24/7ing, you dont need to sit at your computer and check on your bot every hour or so, thats unnecessary.

A lot of legitters keep their public on friends or off. Does that mean they bot because they had their public on friends or off? Nope.
I do that when im not botting. When im botting i leave my public off as well.

You wont get banned for talking while botting.. Thats silly

Dont worry about talking and responding to others, simply keep your public on friends or off, and go do something. Thats the point of botting, if im not mistaken, letting it do the work for you so you can do other stuff.

I know how you feel about this! I feel exactly the same! So I did some research and I downloaded teamviewer for my phone and pc. It mean't I can carry my phone around with my check my bot and reply to people! I do not know if it works with SIMBA but I did this on Rsbuddy. It would be worth another look. I will try later this evening and will post results.

Just because you don't talk means you're a bot...not everyone on Runescape can speak english. Ever seen high ranked players? They rarely talk...too busy getting 200m xp lol. I bot around 12 hours a day...I get plenty of "Hi there" s. I never respond to any of them.

I've never heard of a single account being banned post-nuke, don't worry.

If talking makes you safe, then talk a bit and keep botting..sometimes i do this and move my camera angles a bit and perform some emotes and back to botting without worries..

I've only ever had one account banned using Simba my whole life, and it was my own fault 100%. I was using a fighting script at the chaos monks (something like that? they're in the KBD dungeon) 24/7 for ~a month. I don't ever watch any accounts though unless I'm testing something.

To be honest id say the key to not getting banned is primarily using a good script and bot in moderation. Like real players don't play rs 21 hours a day 7 days a week. i have heard of people not getting banned 24/7 botting. Also didn't r-s bring in a thing where if its your first botting offence its a 1 week?/month? ban, then the second one is a perm ban?

The most a player will do is report a bot; Although from my knowledge and what I have read around, Jagex looks at mouse movements more and such, than responding to players.

So, of course it lowers it but the easy solution for this would be a auto-responder but since the percentage of getting banned due to not responding to a player is so low... Us scripters don't even bother implying annoying complex responders in our scripts anymore.

Also, if you have doubts in bots, than don't use it on your main account; I find it useless watching over a bot, whole point of botting is usually to go live life and let the bot do the useless activity in Runescape lol

I mostly bot in the background when i study on the computer, so i naturally watch it all the time. I might stop responding to players but it still makes me feel uncomfortable when they call you a bot

Well.. Disabling smart is the only way I know of.. Try clicking the desktop then clicking smart and then type.. u can always minimize and restore smart and type :S but it can mess up some scripts pretty badly.

Umm I used to have an extension somewhere around here called SmartChat.. Basically adds a button on smart.. when u click it, it sends whatever message you typed through smart.

Kinda like a talk button I guess. Besides I remember bugging benland100 soo much to fix the talking. AND he actually did in smart 6.7.. Dunno what happened to that fix in smart 6.9.. Guess it got killed :S

Can probably make it into a plugin if enough ppl really need it.
In other words, no there isnt a way besides disabling smart.

I've never had an account banned and used to bot a lot. I think a lot is based on the quality of script and luckiness and common sense.

If everyone is talking and there are say only 4 people there, then might not be best to bot there for example. But i wouldn't say it's a huge problem if you don't talk. When I used to legit i never spoke to people i didn't know anyway (because my mum told me not to talk to strangers...)
