    Default scar + autorune

i was just wondering how auto rune worked .the way i think it does is it finds out where everything is and automatically sends the data to mine a rock without actually mouse clicking it. so i was wondering if instead of sending back data we could use the data to find the co ordnance to find something like a iron rock and use scar to click it so since where not actually editing the data and just using it to find things we would not get caught.
but I've never used auto rune so i might be completely off and this could be a stupid idea so don't mock me that much

AutoRune worked by editing the packets of information sent in by RS. This doesn't work anymore because the packets are encrypted. It wouldn't be worth the work of making it work again, if it's even possible.

I think Ibot is beginning to do that, just view packets.

    SCAR will never do that.

I've always wondered how iBot looked when it ran. Does it move the mouse? If not, then why can't we use SilentMouse?

It does move the/a mouse, but not the same as silentmouse. Someone from impsoft can explain better.

    Me = teh confused:

I thought iBot was just like SCAR, only written in Java syntax instead of Pascal?
And even if they can read/edit packets, can't Jagex just kill it the same way they did AutoRune?

Jagex killed AutoRune by encrypting the packets. Nowadays, the packets are already encrypted. Jagex can't do anything.

Hmm...according to something I read on the internet (and the internet is always right, oh mighty omniscient internet!) it said that Jagex defeated it by telling the client to send a secret and invisible command to the server every so often. Couldn't they just do that again?

How would sending an extra packet kill a program such as AutoRune? They could have to do that to all of the packets, wouldn't they?

I think what he read was how they killed it one of the times. I'm pretty sure that if you were using the real RS client, it sent it a certain packet of info, and if it didn't respond back to it, it was flagged. Something like that.

When you run iBot, it works like SCAR except for the fact that it has its own mouse. Also, the Pro version (15usd per month) has the ability to be minimized when it is ran. Therefore, with Pro, you can run as many accounts as your ram allows (for me it was 4) and still do other stuff, like talk on msn.

With Lite, the free version, you can run as many accounts that fit on your screen. If your computer can have 4 applets up at once, then you can run 4 bots with lite, which is free, and still have access to your mouse.

The one problem is that the scripts are in Java, and not as many people know how to script in Java. They are working on a SCAR converter though, so once that is done SCAR won't be needed and iBot will take over.

Couldn't you just get PowerMenu (google it) and turn the windows 100% transparent

    Yuppers!

I was one post low, accidentally deleted 2 old posts instead of 1

    Back ontopic...

Autorune was killed by jagex in a couple ways. 1 was with the hidden packet that the legit rs client responded to, but aryan/autorune ignored. 2 was with encryption. 3... I'll add this if I think of any more

iBot can read packets coming from RS because they're not encrypted (correct me if I'm wrong, but from what I've seen from WPE Pro....)

Jagex could encrypt the packets going to the client, but I don't think iBot is enough of a problem yet...and it might be alot harder than it sounds...I really don't know.

I wouldn't mind having a SCAR that could read some of the incoming packets...Even if it only read text, you could instantly get uptext/chatbox text...that'd be very nice, as rapid-searching the uptext can create some mass lag.....

Slightly off topic but the 4 windows thing gave me an idea...

Unless this is what he ment in wich case it gave me the idea anyways...

Would it be possible to set the screen res really high on a comp and then arange
a bunch of client windows next to eachother but not overlapping and then have SCAR cycle thru them and play on each one for a few secs?

    Why did someone invent encryption
Atleast why did Jagex have to use it. Why couldn't they just let people auto with autorune

Autorune would have torn RuneScape apart, if Jagex had let it live.

Offtopic: I wonder what Kaitnieks is doing this day today... It's so sad the he ended his career in the cheating community. He knew what was possible to exploit... Godlike person, he is...
