When will scripts be updated to the new Divi?

Well, i downlaoded the new Divi and scar and all i notice is new buttons(which i love, dont ge tme wrong), but now many scripts dotn work, such as the radial walk aid. What was added besides some new buttons? I dont get exactly wha tthsi update was fore besides new buttons and messing up some functions.

Believe me, there's alot of nice stuff in Divi, even the simple fact that we're moving forward is quite nice.

Raidal Walking aid uses GetApplication which has compatibility issuses with Divi.

Depends...the scripts themselves aren't usually the problem...it's the srl commands that the scripts use

Anything that uses getself, getapplication, and some other commands that freddy replaced, won't work.

All it will take to fix many of the broken scripts is a minor updates, though.

One of my private scripts got pretty well killed by Divi, because of it's heavy dependencies on some of the changed functions

Yeah, what i really want to use in radialwalking aid, but that uses getself for getting the minimap, so i cant use it accuretly. Will freddy ever add thsi stuff back, or leave it gone and add new procedures instead?

He took them out and has already added newer,better ones. We just dont have scripts that use them yet, All it takes is deleting the old ones from our scripts and writing in new ones. Don't get me wrong, we don't have to use DIVI yet, Scar 2.03 isn't outdated and dead yet... We can manage on the before scripts while we figure some new DIVI scripts.

since you're all mourning Radial Walk Aid, heres the updated version for divi
it took me about 10 seconds to do, all removed functions have been replaced with procedures that do the same thing, we've lost nothing

First of all, if a script doesn't work in Divi, use 2.03. Simple, eh?

If you take a script written for 2.03 and simply convert it over to use Divi, there isn't much benefit, since those scripts were not designed to take advantage of all the new tools built into Divi. Once scripters start familiarizing themselves with the new functions, we'll see some NEW scripts that will be even better.

from my experience, yes most do. and like a few people said, dont worry about converting. worry about making better scripts
