Hello I have heard that instead of finding items DTMs can also be used to find objects on mainscreen and map walking. But there are no tutorials about it. Can anyone write a tutorial on this? Thanks alot![]()

well I noticed that the black outline of some items will change which makes my DTM not very accurate... I also noticed that even though I picked many points for a DTM it still cannot be detected everytime... So is there any way to pick the points in order to make My DTM to become more accurate?
If you mean item, which is inside inventory or bank, just exclude making points at parts that will be gone, also use some tolerance on the colored points.
But for some certain items, DTM is not very reliable as it may find other items with similar looking too.
DTM's should only be used to find things that are static -never change- ie. Inventory Items!

Make sure your using PNG files. That was a mistake I first made, I became so frustrated with myself after hours of wondering why it wouldn't work. I love DTMs, they're my best buds in scripting for Simba
.
If it's having problems finding use less points and increase the tolerance. Also make sure you check out the tutorial island section next time![]()

if youve read demise's tutorial youd see that that's false.
she showed that you could create a fighting script with dtms.
as for OP, i suggest doing what demise wrote with picking all colored points with a decent tolerance.(i use 15 and it works wonders) instead of picking one point in the middle and the rest on the outline, pick one middle point and a few other points within the item all at 15 tolerance and it shouldnt fail you
Picking more points isn't always better. But if you pick a too low amount of points it might detect other items which it shouldn't detected. I personally use around 3-4 subpoints for my DTM's. Try to pick a lower amount of points and try to pick other points than the black outside.
