    Default Permanent ban for macroing

I got an email from Jagex Ltd stating that I am permanently banned for macroing. Did this happen to anybody else? I haven't played for more than a month now and suddenly today I got the email. Should I be worried?

"This is an automated email from Jagex Ltd., makers of RuneScape and FunOrb, and publishers of War of Legends.
    Dear Player,
We regret to inform you that your account has been permanently banned for Macroing. Please visit the appeal section under Account Management to view evidence of your offence(s) and to appeal any offence(s) that you feel are unjustified.
To view the evidence please click here: http://secure.runescape.com/m=weblog...unt_history.ws
Please note: Due to a recent bug in our offence system, some accounts may have received a void offence. The majority of void offences have been removed but we cannot ensure that all have been removed. We encourage you to visit the appeal section to appeal any unjust offences received due to system errors.

    Many thanks,
    Jagex Ltd."

    Use common sense buddy!
Tons of FAKE PHISHING emails like this are sent out daily.
If you check the link in your email it probably hyperlinks to a a fake website that will just steal your password

It's fake and nothing to worry about.

I hope you didn't log into that site.

There is only one thing to do. Create more accounts and get started again

EDIT: Yes if it is an email DO NOT click on any of the links, try logging back into the account at runescape.com

First you should check on your account by actually logging in / actually going to the official site and logging into your account their? I'm confused what more we can do aside from telling you it's a phishing email if your account isn't banned.

The easiest way to check if you are banned is to log into the real website and check your account status, with no chance of getting phised

Thanks, what really got me was the text http://secure.runescape.com/m=weblog...unt_history.ws
which is a valid runescape website. However, the hyperlink was a fake website.
You saved my life YoHoJo, but I still lost couple of millions. Can I view the history of IP addresses my account loggged in from?

You can only see the last IP your RS account logged in on the loby screen.
If you already logged in all the way it's too late.

I doubt the IP would match an SRL person though so not much I could do D:.

Get the MyWOT add-on. That thing saved my life more than a MILLION times! Saved me from phishes like the one you got (it puts a red circle on dangerous sites, or gray unknown ones, which definitely means it's a phish), it saved me from viruses and malware, and it also saved me from dangerous shock/prank sites (lol this guy on facebook sent me a link saying it was a video of me playing football, but MyWOT told me it was a prank/shock site). I LOVE YOU MYWOT!
