Powerbot DID use injection, I am not sure what it uses now.

I believe all the usernames and passwords you store using Powerbot are all stored locally in a .xml file, so your accounts should be safe. I would still be cautious when using it, as there has been instances in the past where someone modified the code so that all your account details were sent to someone's server and they logged into, and wiped, over 10,000 accounts.

I believe it was in January/February this year. So a couple of months back.

Powerbot uses injection still. They've managed to deobfuscate what was obfuscated after the nuke. They are closed source, but I really doubt they would hack since they are a registered company.

It was during late 2010 by Gh0st

But he made all the hacking of the 14k accounts in 2011(in those months you mentioned Jan/Feb), what I mean is he integrated a stealthbot to one of the RSBot clients(in late 2010) & switched the download from PB's website with his tampered version. So pretty much anybody who had not changed their passwords during that time.. well they got hacked.

He did not do that hacking on the accounts alone(would take forever), he shared the logs with friends over at hack-blahblah website so it could be done faster.

This has not happened again, everything else you see people being hacked is because well malicious scripts - and currently as long as you only use SDN scripts (not developer mode adding scripts locally) then its completely safe since each SDN script is verified before added in there. Unless one of those Devs Admins who have access to the SDN gets corrupt and well.. you know the rest.

Powerbot used Injection + Reflection, same goes with RSBuddy. Yes they are safe, i used to use it before i found Simba. Just a warning, bunch of trolls and little kids over there. Half of the randoms don't work and its unreliable unless your planning to baby sit.

I was there when Gh0st hacked, i was lucky because i got banned and took a break, when i came back all these flares started up and RSbuddy was created, i wouldn't trust them now. Nor would i trust Epic Bot, Runedream (unless Kiko makes a dungeon script). My advice is either stay with Simba and resist those scripts or try your luck with RiD(payed).
