I was just curious what everyone thought the market value of these in the future would be? I've heard different tales, good and bad, and I was just wondering what everyone else's opinion on it was?

I Bot because no one has created a bot for life yet.
Just think about it yourself, there are probably atleast 20k accounts purposely made to get this mask, plus another 50k regular players that has it (out of the usual 500k different logins).
It took 6-7 years for party hats to go over 100 mil ( 2007, where cheapest party hat was on the boundary of 90-100mil). So lets say you have 100 of them and assume rs still exisits and the price does go to 100 mil in 6 years.
It would be 100x100m which is 10 bil, which is only 5k over the span of 6 years.
Still assuming rs still exisit and gold price doesn't just plung into the floor and you still play the game.
Oh Hai Dar
Doubt it'll be worth much, the rares that we have now like partyhat's, santa's and halloween's all look good and are bright colours, i cant imagine them commanding a similar price.
Currently Botting: Firemaking (67/99)
A jmod stated that new rares will be "occasionally" introduced this way. If there are really new rares every few weeks/months, rares will probably not be valued anymore (at least for those new rares). I've only 1 fish mask which a guy was selling at 1mil so i bought it since its pretty cheap. Their price in the future would be rather unpredictable (similar to how jagex is now unpredictable) and it could be worth as much as a cabbage if the trend of introducing tons of new rares continue.
Nothing fancy really, they are uncommon in stead of extremely rare now.

I got 2 from SoF, and I think I will keep them.. Not sure for his future.
Well i haven't won it so maybe who knows...
But its ugly and not worth wearing...
@Geashaw they always where uncommon, they will be becoming super-rare in the summer. And discontinued after summer.
This
The catch of the day - or rather week - will be the new, tradable fish mask, available to win as an Uncommon prize, before taking its place as a rare prize on the wheel throughout the summer months, similar to the Queen’s Guard uniform and the Ceremonial Dragon outfit. Be sure to catch this slippery item while you can

I dont care what u guys are saying, stocked up, written account details on my bank cheque book. In 4 years i'l check... if they haven't increased i'l re do it... and extra $50 might help me if im in a financial crisis
I don't think it'll ever rise as much as other rares. Everybody knows now that this item will be soon untradeable, so they are stocking up... And they won't let go, everybody will have their own masks, everybody will wait for prices to rise, and they will rise slowly. It will take years and years for them to reach even 40m. By that time most of us will be married with kids and probably we won't play RS then... So... :/
I bought five and got a sixth from the SoF. I figure they'll rise eventually.
I got 1 and I'm keeping it forever!![]()
I got one from the S.O.N. and since I didnt spend any cash on it, i'm just keeping it since I have more than half of my bank space available...
You think Jagex will make them untradable items?![]()
I love you.
Nope, they've said they will discontinue and keep it tradable.
I think they will never reach over 5m. There are going to be SO many of these out there and they are SO f-in ugly that no one is going to want them. They may reach 5m, but I predict a major crash.
Phats/Masks at least look good, these are hideous. Just my view I suppose.
i'm just going to save mine until like 2 years then sell if it gets rare.
There is no way the value will go up for a while because there is just too many in the game.
Lol at introducing "discontinued items" to get people to get members and play.
The reason why the current items are so expensive are because Demand > Supply. There were fewer people in the game to retrieve the items and many people now.
The games on the decline. It will almost follow the pattern of the cyclops mask.
I'm back
