    Question Survival of 99 botting

As the title says, I wanna speak about the survival of an account, when botting. My personal experience is from 2004-2012 .

I've been playing on and off, and several accounts has been banned throughout the years. I've been using several botting sites, some with payment other not.

I'm wondering how some of you botters survived all these years, I've seen several threads on the SRL Public Forums about persons gaining completionist capes and amounts of 10-15 99 skills from botting, and some legit playing as well.

My purpose with this thread is to find out, if it depends on luck whether you get banned or not during botting, or something else? Could you share your experiences with me?

Throughout my Runescape years, I've been botting since 2007-2008. And as I stated above I've been using several bots, more experienced than other.
My goal throughout the years always been to get the most 99's as possible, but I have always been banned, when I've got like 2-3 99's. How come some of you guys still manage to survive botting, and get like 10-15 99 skills, and some even get completionist cape.

My newest account, which I've been using Simba on, has only one 99 skill atm, and I really wanna know how I can make this account survive for a change.

As a matter of fact, I've started to bot different skills, and not just consecutive botting on a specific skill - correct me if I'm wrong - but my experience tell me, that consecutive botting on a specific skill, makes it more likely to be banned.

    Anyway, thanks for reading this
I hope you can share your experiences with me..
(I'm sorry for bad grammar and english)

There's no explanation to that, Two people could be using the same script and maybe one of them gets bans..It all depends of luck, When you get banned is when your bad luck brings over a JMod to your area and reports you, but if you get people reporting you, 90% nothing will happen. Jagex is mostly behind those accounts that make millions per week..
Now I can tell you that Iv'e created an account 1 and 9 months ago and it now has 8 99's and if I get Str, It will hve 10 because of hp.

I just dont get why you can be unlucky as the guy getting a single 99 skill, when other bots are farming their 15th 99 skill.... I dont get it.. Is it really all about luck??

I guess Personally iv'e chosen places where no bots are at..for example if im training meele, I go to a place like to moss giants in that karamja island..try avoiding famous botting spots like draynor for woodcutting..go to some place like Daehnoheim Resource Dungeon.

It's because they hate you and at birth you were named the man who would have all of his accounts banned.

Jagex doesn't care anymore after the November bot nuke. I used to be careful when botting during rsbuddy/nexus times, but from when I discovered SRL to now, I just bot as much as possible. My advice is just suicide bot. The chances of getting banned are very small.

I have gotten over 15 99s only got banned when I used RSBot the one time...

The only time I would suicide bot was with Harry's Fight Caves (72 hours+) getting me 126cmb. Thanks Harry Now I jump from script to script trying not trying to power level one skill too much for too long. Like get all skills to 70 then 80 then 90 all the way to 99.

Most of it is just luck. You get reported a shit ton vs not getting reported whatsoever. Player mods/Jagex mods spot you vs you're safe. Getting randoms that you end up stuck in vs randoms that can be finished.

But aside from luck, you just need to bot like a legit player. Legit players will get bored, not play for extended periods of time in a row, etc.

On my main I'll bot randomly for 1-3 hours, and take an hour break or so between botting sessions. I will also switch up what I am botting.

And if you don't want the account banned it doesn't hurt playing legit for a while. That'll throw off suspicion. Do a few quests, go do something a bot doesn't exist for, etc.

When your account rarely gets random events, you should be in the clear. My main hadn't received a random event for over 15 hours of time played in game. Now that I've received 3 over the past few hours I'm going to go do a few quests and train legit to complete the randoms on my own.

Botted over 100m exp, with 9 99's in total botted. My secret...bot 16hrs + on day one and two; on day three legit a different skill (I usually go pking).

You can choose to suicide bot on day four, but I usually legit like for 10 mins on that day then at night till next day, I suicide bot again.

This method got me a lot of exp + no bans/mutes/whatever else jagex does to botters these days

When jagex sees your account behaving like this, their auto banning systems sees it as you no lifing (Which is common amoung rs players especially as summer draws near) and

when you go pking on day 3 or something else, it looks like you are bored of what you were doing, then the 10 mins of play on day four just tells them to stay away from your

account cause you do not bot.

Tbh the people saying dont bot 10hours that's just bullsh*t.

I've been botting my account for over 2 years, did quit a lot 24/7's etc.
You can easily bot 15hrs/day and not get caught.

As long as you don't go picking flax or chopping yews on populated worlds, try to do things that won't get reported.

For instance, don't go mining coal in mining guild, go mining granite in the desert, you won't get any reports out there.

Also, a big hint I can give you, use an old account, preferably made before 2006, It's not been proven but I can tell you I botted 2 accounts +- same amount of time, the 2011 one got banned after a few months, the 2006 one is still kicking.

Just don't believe the guys that say 'if you bot 6hrs/day you're safe'

Cos thats just bull.. & xp waste.

The last few weeks i have been botting like hell. 3 weeks ago i got 99 RC, last week 99 fm and now im almost 99 wc. My advice the skills that you can bot 15+ hours/day are the afk ones. For the other skills take breaks, do other skills, maybe even pk for like half an hour between botting.

One of the most important things (for me) is to bot in schedules. Always start your bot at the same time, say 7 am. Then let it run till like 11 pm. That is how i do it. Woodcutting is gonna be my 19th 99 and im pretty close to the others too

    Hope it helped

I don't think I've gotten banned yet because I botted safe skills to 99 like fletching and cooking. For fletching I just did yew/magic longs at the GE and for cooking I just cooked sharks at Catherby. For Magic I'm High Alching at my PoH. I'm under the belief that whether you get banned or not heavily depends on if you get reported or not, which is why I stay away from common, well known botting spots like Sorc Garden and pretty much any place with yews. I also make sure I use scripts with decent antiban just in case. I also bot frequently, around 10 hours a day. But that's only because I don't care too much at this point whether I get banned or not. I don't think the amount of time you bot a day matters too much, but I'm not sure.

If the skill you're botting can be done in your PoH, I suggest doing it there. Otherwise, find creative places to bot and stay away from all the botting hotspots. Getting slightly less xp per hour is better than having your account permabanned.

I really don't know about botting skills but I'm currently going for rank one in a minigame. At the moment I'm at rank five. You can check my process here http://services.runescape.com/m=hisc...ategory_type=1 or just go to MA hiscores through runescape.com. Let's hope I don't get banned.

i've been botting for quite some time now and i have 2300+ total with around 15+ 99s i think. Secret I've found is that accounts which have been longer activated tend to not get banned as easily since Jagex knows that those accounts have been paying for constant membership for the past few years. They also know that they won't stop anytime soon, and if they do, it would be in response to a ban. New accounts that are made and gain high xp counts and stats is suspicious since no new player would play that much or know what they are doing.

On another note, it is luckbased. My account could easily get banned if there was a bot-bust happening in the area i was botting. However, there is no anti-bot detecting method, unless u bot monitored activities like rune sudoku or pretty much most f2p things

    Tips to not getting banned.

    1) The amount of time the account has been logged in doesn't matter. I've gone through 100h botting sessions in randomless areas.
    2) ALWAYS use scripts you know you can depend on to get the job done and won't screw up. Look at the amount of views the thread has and look at the comments on the last few pages.
    3) Use good bot clients. I've gotten my 99's in the past through Simba and iBot (when it was around.) I wouldn't put too much stock in those injection bots. They have a higher chance of getting you banned then Simba/iBot.

Well I suppose it's pretty much about luck, thats probably the conclusion to this. As a matter of fact you can never be safe, and the guys speaking of 50+ hour bot sessions, seems weird.. Doesn't runescape have what you call a "flagging system".. After a high amount of gameplay, u get flagged, and is visible for the mods etc.

Furthermore I think, that botting different skill, and not just powerbotting your way to 99 skills, consecutive helps to keep your account safe. As a normal person would see consecutive powerskilling as something booring. The human mind always wants the easy way, so why would u prefer training a lvl 80 skill above a lvl 20 skill...

I also believe, that combat bots are easily to get banns with, I dunno if it just me, but it seems to me like, when fighting monsters in Runescape, u pretty much has to be active, and when u dont answer someone talking to you, they most likely report u, or it results in something else, which could be much worse...

If you guys should pick a favourite skill to bot, but have in mind that it has to be safe, what would u recommend or pick then?

This is what I believe to be the reason I have never gotten banned from botting :

So to give you a little information when I bot, i bot 24/7 until i'm done with that skill and don't switch between skills ever (until i reach 99)

The reason i think i have never been banned is because i made my account back in 04/05 and i played legit until 2010 and was a member since 06. Therefor i think they have either pretty much passed me off as a legiter or they just dont care since i have paid them over 300$ in my time for membership.

As for new accounts that people get maxed. It is very difficult and you have to get VERY lucky. (Membership increases odds by like 500%) When a new account pops up and the person instantly knows what to do and starts getting 99's a lot and is playing 24/7 how can jagex not realize its someone botting. I know when i was first playing the game, i never thought i would have gotten a 99, i trained at all the wrong spots and i did play what i thought was a lot like 3 hours a day (first online game).

So to rap it all up, if you have a account that you have had for awhile and played legit on it for awhile, your better off botting that account to max and even better if you buy membership (they dont tend to ban members nearly as much). Lastly, if you get all 99's with a new account it is pure luck so don't get to upset if you fail at it.

Don't feel bad, I have only gotten to one 99 on any of my acc's botting. But luckily enough I have only been caught once. It was 2 years ago and they only rolled me back and never banned me. Though they took 7m (which was my bank at the time) and over 200+ total levels. I too wish it was possible to get 10-15 99's without any bans or rollbacks.
