Default Spotify now FREE on Mobile!

So yeah, just giving everyone a heads up that Spotify is now FREE on Mobile where as before you had to pay like $5.99 a month for it on Mobile and it was only free on your PC.

This beats Pandora so hard now. Choose our own songs, make our own playlists? Yes please!

I'm not sure, it only went live today. I haven't used it yet.

    Probably only online :/

It's a streaming service, you don't actually download the music so probably definitely only online.

It might put songs into a temporary cache but there's no way you're downloading the file to your computer/mobile device before it plays it. That would make it far too easy for users to strip it and get music for free. Not saying it isn't possible but...just don't think it'd work that way.

But yeah, if it puts it into a temporary cache, it could play for a while after you are not connected to the internet.

Just a note, you still don't get the full Spotify service on mobile for free. You can only do the radio feature which is what is supposed to compete with Pandora, although honestly Pandora has the algorithm and the music genome project behind it do it's probably still way better than Spotify radio

Ahhhh, didn't see this. They can at least compete with Pandora now and figure out their own algorithm, before they couldn't compete at all.
