Default OUYA: The 99$ Android Linux Game Console

    Link to the Phoronix article

Seriously check this out, Ive read about and watched open source game consoles fade to dust before but this one might actually be on to something. Basically from what I understand is that the goal here is to provide new game developers with a free platform to get their games onto the television. (ie no need for an expensive dev kit)

The project was looking to raise $950,000 in 30 days (yikes) on kickstarter but in about 24 hours has already received 1.96 million

    Check out their kickstarter page

Watch the video (pretty interesting tbh I thought this was stupid till I watched it) look through the kickstarter page and see what its all about. Theres plenty of pictures and specs. Seeing as how their are plenty of gamers involved in this community I figured I'd ask what your opinions on this would be.

You guys think this is a good idea? Would you drop 100$ on this??

If it becomes popular and not a hassle, then yes, I would but it.

Good, I wish it was realistic that they would destroy the console closed development, game development is the most closed community in all software and it's getting worse.

Hopefully this does bring a lot of linux games though

Hmmm, I would read up on the project first before making a decision on whether I wanted to purchase it or not. If I can use my minecraft account on there then hell, I might just buy one for that
