working xd?
paid or unpaid i think scripters should get vip benifits!
as for leechers... leaches gon leech!!!
and i seen many a site where they made something paid and the leeches stayed and Ddosed site

The reason why scripts are better if they're free - is that srl doesn't have to be shut down since it's essentially a non-profit, and jagex can't do anything about non-profits other than bribe them to shut down the site. It really is up to us to donate to SRL - to not only reward the scripters/developers but also to make sure this site keeps going.
- The end result you ask? cheaper coal/dragon bones/food/ - everything is cheap
- we don't have to be pay 100's of mils to get levels either
- b4 i got hacked i could get 95 pray for only 80m - LOL - now im stuck at 88 cause of my stupidity
Just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the developers and scripters for their efforts (e.g., YoHoJo, Narcle, and the countless others). Your work really adds a fun aspect to the Runescape game. It's even encouraging an old retired duffer like myself to try and learn more. Give yourself a big pat on the back because you certainly earned it.
with respect for your time and effort,
SGuy

I'm not sure who to tell, but since the update S.M.A.R.T. has stopped functioning for me altogether. It worked before, although my scripts mostly wouldn't. After it updated, now even the simplest script causes S.M.A.R.T. to either freeze up or take forever to do anything.
For example, I'm currently running this script:
...it compiled in 2613 ms and is going on eleven minutes now without completing.Code:program New; {$DEFINE SMART} {$i SRL\SRL.simba} begin MoveMouse(100, 100); end.
My operating system is Ubuntu 10.04, and running Simba on Wine 1.2.2.
Hope that helps!
close, but isn't. And goes against the whole concept of free and open source. You don't pay access to something that is open to the public. It's a programming community first, which means Villavu/SRL wants everyone to be able to learn and apply their skills. No sense in making it paid, besides if it was paid you would still have these problems and less people would be able to help solve them resulting in a fix taking even longer.

cant you just run scripts in a vitrual machine instead of smart? like RID
"For it is not what goes into your mouth that will defile you; rather, it is what comes out of your mouth that defiles you." - Jesus of Nazareth
That's not even the problem, the problem is the extra bar added on top of the client.
Along with MM dots/flags looking wierd and items looking deformed/going invisible.
The problem exists when using either SMART of the web client.
But yes Simba can run in a VM, anything you can run on a comp can run in a VM.
No need to be rude. I'm not complaining; I'm trying to help. Judging from what I've read on the forums, most members are using Windows systems, and those that aren't are on Macs. The developers may not be aware that their temporary fix has rendered S.M.A.R.T. un-usable on Windows emulators for Linux, such as Wine, and I thought that it was something they'd want to know.
Current projects:
[ AeroGuardians (GotR minigame), Motherlode Miner, Blast furnace ]
"I won't fall in your gravity. Open your eyes,
you're the Earth and I'm the sky..."
In regards to charging for scripts, wouldn't that entitle Jagex to sue? I swear they sued a bunch of bot companies for that.
