    Default Recovering runescape account?

Just wondering if anyone knows. I sold an account to a guy over skype and he paid half of it up front. I usually don't allow split payments because this kind of stuff usually happens, but he convinced me to. He keeps saying "oh I'll get the rest tomorrow" or "Man I made 100m, but I lost it in a stake trying to get the rest, sorry". I've gave him 3 different deadlines and he has failed them all, so I think it's time to take back the account.

The problem is, I let him set the email to his (herpa derpa on my part), as I still have all the recoveries, ISP, basically every other little detail, but when trying to recover the account it now only asks for the email? Am I screwed, and is there no way to recover via recovery questions anymore?

edit: Tl;Dr = what happened to recovery questions?

You have to send an email to support@jagex.com or something like that, idk if it's the exact email but it's something along those lines.

You can definitely still recover accounts without the email... Just go through the regular recovery process, and when it asks for the current associated email, skip that part. A lot less hassle than emailing Jagex...

IIRC you can't skip it...it won't let you go any further in the recovery process without it. They changed it from what it used to be.

Emailing Jagex is the easiest and fastest way if you have all the correct details

how much did you sell the account for?

You can type wrong email like 3 times, then it will ask your recovery questions.

Just click the enter email button while it's empty twice and it well send you to the old recovery page. Or just enter random stuff into the box and it will do the same.

Can't you still just enter the wrong email 3 times and it defaults to inputting all the info?

Sending a mail to jagex is your best bet, I guess. It can take some time for them to respond though.

For those who say "just type in any email address" that NO LONGER works.

If you do not type in the "correct" email address to that account, it will not go automatically to the questions.
You get a window saying you've exceeded the number of tries to type in the email, and try again in about an hour.

Best thing you can do, is email them.

I was surprised they took away the whole recovery option but it is smarter on another hand that they did since its a bit of a longer process now and recovring back accounts isnt as easy.
