    Default x360 Tool

    Hello Fellow botters,
I recently stumbled across this nifty little tool and i had the best idea.
This tool extracts files out of a xbox 360 patch file, which you can get off the Hard Drive. I am not that familiar with visual Basics but would it be possible to reverse the "extract" button and replace it with an inject button??
Would be really happy if someone replied.
    Thanks Crit

Website of the tool here: http://http://www.xbox-scene.com/xbo...ZuGoVfaMkD.php
I want to make a working script. Lets hope i can be bothered anytime soon

If I understood what you want to do it basically extract, change the contents and then recompress an Xbox save.

While this used to be simple on the old Xbox I don't know if it is actually possible to recompress the Xbox saves. I know you can take your Skyrim save from your Xbox and put it on your computer but I don't know about the in between and the recompression.

Well kind of. The file that will be injected would be exactly the same as the extracted one.
Is it not that simple to reverse the extract button with an inject button?

What save are you trying to "inject" to? Did you make something on Xbox that you want to use on the computer?

Correct me if I'm wrong but by the looks of it he is trying to 'inject' a mod or hack of some kind for a game like CoD or BF3 or Reach. This would most likely be something downloaded on the computer that he wants to put on the xbox.
Either that or he is trying to downpatch a game of some kind.

Is your xbox jtagged or modded? There are a bunch of mods you can add if you can Jtag your system. I think a file inserter is one of them.

Nah its not jtagged, that's why I am trying this thing.
I have a modded patch_mp.ff file that can be put on the xbox. The basically exact same file is found in the whole patch 'container' file than can be copied of the xbox HDD to your computer. I was just thinking that if this tool has an 'Extract" button that you could reverse that process to copy your own file and replace the one that's on there.

yeah but not directly into the patch file
IF you download the tool and open this file
with it, you can see its contents which include the patch_mp.ff file.
You can extract this but I would like to change it with my own one.
Is there any way you can reverse the extract process with an inject process???
    Crit

Edit: You can open the container in Horizon but you can't change any of its contents.=(
