    Simba's audience/crowd always fluxuates.
    People come, people go.
People care about rs, people lose interest in rs.
People become busy with real life.

Overall SRL is and always will be the best, kindest, most mature, and helpful community out there. The best place to learn basic programming techniques with kind helpful people.

If you just want to bot hardXcore and get geepees and all that stuff, I'd say PowerBot etc would be the best, but Simba is always going to be my favorite :], learn to code and you can make whatever scripts you wish for simba!

I agree with you 100%, i havent been botting much lately but i still try to be active here, its my goal to become a Junior member, and then (hopefully someday) a member. I wont stop working towards those goals until i achieve them. Ive never been a part of such a community as this, and it has been an awesome ride so far, and can't wait to see what the future holds.. So Yea, some people just come for the bot, and if they have any issues just go to the next bast thing, but im here for the community. :3

While SRL has a bigger crowd than years past, it's members are less of... what we're used to (read: most are leechers).

RS itself has been slowly dying for a while now, so that may have something to do with it as well.
Long ago, the '90s Nicktoons lived together in harmony. Then, everything changed when the century turned. Only Avatar, the best of the 2000's Nicktoons, could save them. But when the channel needed it most, the show finished. Four years passed and Mike and Bryan created the new Avatar: Legend of Korra. And although the show itself is great, it has a long way to go before it can live up to The Last Airbender. But I believe Korra can save Nickelodeon.

Google "nothing to do here" and then go to images, then the first image is the website to the gif... or just right click the picture in my post and click "copy image location" and you'll be there.

Are you trying to say SRL is going up, or there's nothing to do here?
Thx Euphemism and Vinyl for the awesome siggy and avatar!

I can't meme every post, so I'll just say that it was a bit of a troll.
This guy is saying that simba is dying... how is it dying when people use it every single day. Countless 99s have been achieved using Simba and won't stop until Jagex does something clever.
Simba is only growing. Not even close to dying, the forum is a mere discussion lounge.

Well if you look at our community within the past year or so, it is finally starting to die down. by this i mean that once the bot nuke hit, for a few weeks the leachers were desperately clinging onto their hopes that rsbuddy/other bots would come back online. once they gave up home, a MASSIVE influx of people came to SRL, as it was the best alternative (and they all asked the same questions and never used the search button -.- lol). now that some of those communities are back, we have seen more and more people leave in order to rejoin their lost community (this is not a super-noob friendly botting system we have set up, and they are used to "adding" a script and pressing run).

so in my mind, thats what has been happening. many active members still remain, and many slowly die off. we have seen a few older members sorta poke their heads back in recently (PoW, Bad Processor, and ian. from time to time [etc.]). so people come and go, nothing new.

I remember last year around the time of the bot nuke(for reflection), we only had 600ish active members on the forums. Since then till now there was a massive increase of people coming here, even quite a few older, non active members, came back. I seen at one point this year there was 10k+ active members and now its shot back down to 4.4k ish. Like YoHoJo said people come and people go, this isn't really a botting community as such but is obviously base around botting to learn how to code/script. I classify SRL Forums as a 'Learning Community' an amazing place to come and learn all types of scripting and programming also getting to know some great people along the way. These forums will never die as there are many people out there looking for a place like this .

I'm so glad I found this place, <3 SRL

s/is runescape/are people to teach, maintain, and develop/

Has a lot more to do with programming in General than it does RS. We can always find new uses.

That isn't true. Simba has many advantages compared to javabots, even in the terms of making shitloads of geepes. For an example javabots are much heavier, unreliable and have downtimes. Pre-Nuke javabots were superior but not anymore

    And we can't get sued

If any of them need someone to hold the door open for them while they scuttle back to those communities Ill be most happy to hold the door for them and LOCK the doorbehind them after they go....lol .... and when their community ships are sunk, the challenge will be for us to be to keep that door locked... j/k

I think Simba takes dedication and some intellect.....and thats not to script for it but rather to EVEN install and run successfully!

As for the folks jumping ship, they certainly contain no loyalty for our community...so who needs them!

You know what. The SRL community will be around for a long time to come. The thing is there are a number of people, including myself, who it has had a life long impact on. It really gives people the opportunity to learn programming in a fun and unique way.

Simba isn't a bot, it is an IDE, which really gives it an edge. It allows people who have never programmed before to get stuck in straight away and learn techniques by not having to understand compilers, linking etc. The open sourced nature of scripts from this forum allow you to see how other people have done it and learn more quickly. And lastly, the level of support and encouragement is incredible.

If you are here to use the scripts here and cheat on Runescape, then great, we want you to use our scripts, we want your feedback!

If, however, you've taken an interest in programming, and would like to learn and have fun doing so, then, well, you really have just stumbled on the best place on the net to do so. I say this from experience.

Apologies for the soppy post, but it's been a very special day for me. At the age of 21, I have completely changed my life, and it really is this place that gave me the confidence and starting point to do so. I've just got onto a Computer Science degree at a place I love and am starting in a month.

well said this place has had a great impact on myself.

simba is the botting resistance will never be forgotten nor defeated but is and always will be to me the best and most versetile scriptable interface on the rs cheating scene.

Simba is the only client that I'm willing to use, and Villavu is the only community that I trust.

I don't know what the community was like in the past, but I'm not going anywhere anytime soon
