    Default Weird Laptop

Ok I have a laptop which I use to auto on. Now when I go to sleep I shut the lid of my laptop. I make sure that I've already gone to power properties and that it's set so that it won't standby my laptop when i shut it. I've also changed all the other things like hibernate laptop after X amount of minutes to Never. But after 10 minutes of having the lid shut the screen goes black. This is fine because the scripts are still running but the annoying thing is by the time it's morning I lift the lid and the screen stays black. so to actually see what's on the screen I have to hit standby then turn my laptop back on. now mouse movement or keyboard hitting works. So I was wondering if there was a solution to this problem. Yes I have set my screen saver to none

There is a button on your laptop that gets pushed in when it gets closed. It is a very tiny button tad if you find it, cover it over with a lot of scotch tape then close it. See if that helps

The same happened to my laptop, even though I had selected "What to do when your laptop lid is closed", or whatever, to do nothing.

use a nail file and file the button off

What will taping it down do? Then it'll think the lid's always down...
