Default Nebula - 2 week Temp

Nebula has received a Temp Ban for the next 2 weeks. Excessive trolling, picking fights, and insulting others. There has also become an assumption that the Rep is there as a way for you to tell of others without it being seen. The Forum Rules apply to rep as well as PMs and you can and will be infracted for abusing these avenues.

    Regards,
    ~The Staff

I wonder who that rep abuse is aimed at.

I checked his recent posts and they are all ok, imo. Probably a "rough" attitude, but there are way worse people in the community. (Even way worse SRL members)

I can't tell what happened via rep/pm, but isn't this a bit hard? We have seen other insults and nobody got suspended..

The Staff have been thinking about this a long time, and all of his infractions are legit. Normally a temp-ban isn't advertised like this, but this fighting among some forum members has to stop as it's annoying and damaging to the forum as a whole.

    I understand.

But for a fight you need at least two, right? Is it possible that the second one (not Nebula) had some other little fights in the past with several other members? Therefore was he making more trouble than Nebula..

I'm pretty sure this was an example to the recent rise of a few rep battles/ things like that. He just ended up being the one getting banned.

If it is an example, than it's unfair imo, because there are other members who deserved it way more than him.

All participants have received infractions; the only difference is that Nebula's infraction made him go over the 3-infraction-points limit which in turn gave him a temp-ban

Another good reason why I'd like giving/receiving reputation to include the sender's username.

If you receive a messed up message for rep or a PM you can always report it to the staff. All the Forum rules apply to rep and PMs as well.

Report the post that was repped. Don't worry we will find it.

I don't see why giving positive/negative rep should be anonymous. If you genuinely like/dislike what the other person wrote you should be man enough to put your name to it. I always put my name down when I give reputation.

Well, it stinks that this had to happen; the best way to plan is to anticipate, and I suppose anticipation was lost in some parties on the forums. Hopefully everyone can grow from this. Make love not war :>

I don't think anonymity should receive consequence in terms of removal of itself entirely. I often like leaving positive rep w/o my name, but then signifying it in a relative post to the relative thread; or some other anonymous extent. To me, personally, leaving a name in your given out rep (pos/neg) works to build an understanding/forums relationship amongst members.

All in all, that's my two sense on that, but it wouldn't be necessarily bad if it was removed, either way I'll still love these forums :3

I lost my cool and was a bit rude to one of the members here.
    I received a warning...

That really showed me I was doing the wrong thing and I am watching my attitude.

This wouldn't have being Nebulas first strike.
