We will see.
I think this is all about the IP address. So useless for me with dynamic IP...
I suppose you could add it if you have an account with lots of cash on. Kinda pointless otherwise.

I believe they will use some kind of tracking cookie.
Is it safe? I doubt it. Unless you run it from your own computer.
I wouldn't be able to remember the 5 or so questions and answers you need to set for the new security.
I'd wait it out to see if it's safe to do with smart, I assume so though.
Solar from RiD.
I wont be enabling this because I can play on atleast 4 different Ip's in a single day.

I think you guys dont understand what I said or I did not explain it well.
anyways, I HAVE ALREADY enabled the security stuff. My question is:
I need to had smart as a trusted runescape runner device (Ive already added RS Client). but i want to know if jaggex can detect what device is it that I added. meaning if they know that i run rs on smart they could ban me for botting.

Whether you are using JAG or not, Jagex can clearly tell that you're using the browser or using some other client (in this case, SMART). Now whether or not we know that they definitely can detect that it's SMART in particular, or just some other client, is unknown. But we've been using SMART prior to this update. The only difference is now if you set JAG up it'll give you a warning when logging in via some other source.
Whether or not you set up JAG is up to you, but either way Jagex has and can tell the difference between browser and client it seems.

Currently: Playing OSRS legit until I get bored
Why risk it anyway? You are more worried about someone hijacking your account than registering the client you use to bot?
In 7 years I have never been at risk of my account being hijacked, and even if it happened - bank pin, security questions and email link.
Im running it on a throwaway account and will see how it works (trying via a powerbot client)
