I saw that, my girlfriend and I were amazed that someone finally put her in her place.
I think less that 25% of mainstream singers can actually sing.

I think singers are now selected on other qualities. People like T-Pain need no skill at all of course. But since it is now possible to make less pure voices more pure. Maybe they look at different aspects of their singing quality?

He certainly does, I love the audiences reaction.
I didn't see that episode, but it was hard to avoid that clip on YouTube.

Do a lot of people watch X Factor in USA? X Factor in the UK is so scripted it is painful at times to watch, you can just tell what's coming next. There are some good singers in it though who are better than most of the judges lol.

lmao completely true, that blond one comes off as stupid anyways, who cares what she says? *insert sexist comment about women and judges* (include kitchen).

i really don't mind autotuning when it comes to making albums, i prefer it. but it doesn't give you the right to be a judge if you pretend you can sing?

some people can sing ok, but are great entertainers, if i like some music, i dont go to a concert to listen to it, i listen to it in my car with the speakers and subs way up, if i like the way someone entertains, i see them in concert. But then if you are going to lip sync, i would be dissapointed. You can't blame them for tuning there voices a bit, its so hard to keep it real these days. Look at all the good local bands around your area, most of them will never make it because of auto tune.
Bored of playing rs, and bored of botting it, why am i here?

I've noticed that your access to technology and looks are inversely proportional to your need for talent to get famous.

Tbh, the only singers that sound good live on concert are the small-town bands.

Honestly, I dont care about the lyrics or vocals of the song/artist.
I mainly look for (lol) the overall feel of the song.
For example, the only drake song i like is Headlines, mainly because of the beat.
If is has a goodbeat, and vocals that blend with it, then I like it.

Oh and all classical musical is godly

Well, as a drummer who performed some live shows with his band... It's always a pain to hear today's music on the radio.

I kinda feel like I'm born in the wrong era of music.

Whereas most real music has died out some time ago.

Music just doesn't feel real anymore.
    (Especially dubstep, among others.)

Or music with inspiring lyrics like :

    I'm going to the PAHPAHPAHPAHPAHPAHRthaaaahy!
    PAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPAPARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRTHHHHHA AAAAAAAAhYYYY!

    PAPAPAPAPA PA PA PARTAhY!

I can appreciate music of any genre assuming it required some talent on the artists behalf to create.

I can appreciate electronic, rap, classical, rock and all things inbetween provided it obviously took skill and ability to create.

If your song goes "a millie a millie a millie a millie" you aren't a talented lyricist.

    Indeed you can.

I like a photo-realistic painting more then a painting of a red dot inside a black cube.
