My personal opinion here is there are aliens, the thing is we are no where near as advanced as they are (I mean the earth is still REALLY young compared to the rest of the universe).

The aliens understand that we exist but just leave us be because we are not advanced enough to compete. We are to them like the birds nest in the tree in our backyard, we know the birds are there but we don't go around attacking them or trying to communicate with them because all they will do is get scared.

We as a society would just get scared and try to attack but this is futile as we would be destroyed, I mean if they could travel here.. I am sure they can destroy us easily too.

The Universe is so massive. If you say we're the only ones out there, just think about it. The earth is like the tip of a pin in the ocean. Can't be just one planet that can support life out of trillions of different planets.

If only I was born later lol. This is a great reason for reincarnation, because if it did exist then we wouldn't miss out on all the cool new stuff like extra planets

If you decided to live there you would not live for long. You would either suffocate because the atmosphere is lacking on oxygen, boil from within because of the high surface temperatures or be crushed by the gravity that is far greater than here on earth.

This is not a place for humans to live, only a place for humans to study.

You don't know that for sure. Other planets could be newer than ours and there civilizations may not have advanced as fast as ours or they might just be newer.

If you were born later you would miss out on your purpose now.

But I guess it would be cool to see what the future will be like

If they are newer they wouldn't of thought of a way to reach us, or if they did think of a way then they are a species that is far more intelligent/advanced than we are.

The only situation where I see us winning easily is if we were the ones who found them, and wreaked havoc like we do.

Perhaps Multiuniverse's. Perhaps we're the only inhabitable life in our vast universe and in another universe there are multiple worlds of intelligent life. Perhaps this is science fiction string theory, perhaps not.

Seemed relevant to topic, at least in attempt to transition from more sci-fi to an intellectual "perspective" (I use "perspective" to keep us in education instead of creating debate)
