Hey I'm wondering if anyone can help me with my noob math homework. Just take a look and see someone :P
So here...
PYTHAGOREAN TRIPLES
examples:
3, 4, 5 and 7, 24, 25
Above are two examples of a Pythagorean Triple. Pythagorean Triples are made up of whole numbers. These two examples are special because in both cases the hypotenuse is 1 greater than the longer leg.
Your Task:
(1) How many Pythagorean Triples can you find where the hypotenuse is one more than the longer leg? How many do you think there are? Explain your answer.
(2) Find one where one of the legs is 37 and the hypotenuse is one more than the longer leg. Explain how you got your answer.
If anyone can help if will be appreciated.
