Because of Runescape, I now know that I shouldn't keep electronic devices (Computer) running 24/7, or they will burn out :P

I can relate to many of your experiences above as I too have learned a thing or two in my years of Runescape.
The most powerful lesson I learned from Runescape is as follows: enjoy the little things while they are there.
Although I believe Jagex has becoming a complete sellout, I really do appreciate and thank the original owners who provided me with the opportunity to have many years of fun on the legendary game - Runescape.

Being able to read pretty quickly is something I attribute to RS, being awkward in social situations is something I also attribute to RS but that doesn't really affect me as I embrace my awkwardness and use it

Being able to use your head so people won't lure you into dangerous places.
Don't you just hate it when you really like the topic of conversation and want to make a post but all of the things you were going to say have been mentioned above??
I pretty much just learned the basic economic principals, faster typing and the like. Not so much the tree and ore names.

I just realized Jagex lied to us, I had trout for dinner and guess what? It was pink. Not white.
don't gamble what you cant lose and don't trust people you just met.
What I learned from Runescape...
1) Some English (I started in second grade) words like "examine", "wield", and "prospect"
2) Ores, tree, and fish names also what smithing/flechting was
3) Basic economics (most people who got A's in my econ class played Runescape)
4) People are dishonest and will scam you
5) Time management
6) Multitasking, back when I didn't bot
7) For my brother he learned some German from Runescape because German worlds didn't have bots so he'd always skill there and eventually understood some of it (he's still learning)
Most of them were stated anyways.
to make steel you need roughly double the amount of coal than iron
