    Default Effigy drop rate increased?

    Not sure If Im the only one, but for the past f2-3 days, I've been getting alot of effigies.

    Lucky you, I remember I was once botting and forgot to make it pick up effigy if any. And I ended getting 3-4 that 6 hour period. but this was like 3 months ago but still.

    Like I just said, I know that. I was referring to how I've never gotten 2-3 effigies in 1-2 runs at glacors.

    You should learn about Hypothesis Testing to avoid making erroneous conclusion based on a small sample pool.

    Let X be the random variable denoting the no. of Glacor per effigy.
    u0: X~90 (since you say the expected average is 80-100)
    u1: X<90
    Since variance is unknown and sample size is small,
    Under u0, Test Statistic T= ((X-bar - u0) * sqd root n)/s ~ t(5-1) (you got a total of 5 effigies?)

    Using one-tailed test at 5% significance level, reject H0 if p<0.05.
    Hence to reject h0,


    (X-bar - 90)* 2.2361 / (0.25*(n1^2 + n2^2 + n3^2 + n4^2 + n5^2 - (nTotal^2) / 5) < -2.132
    where X-bar is the average kills per effigy required, n1-n5 is the no. of kills for each effigy (for a total of 5) in your sample, and nTotal is the total no. of kills.

    Solve the inequality to find X-bar, and compare this with your actual sample mean to find out if your sample proves anything at all. Most likely due to the small sample pool you can't reach any decisive conclusion unless your sample is extreme (but the sample variance has to be small as well).

    Woah, sorry about that, wasn't thinking straight about the task..

    @xtrapsp, it was what I got off from a bestiary on tip.it http://www.tip.it/runescape/?page=glacor.htm
    They claim its around 1/70 kills, I said around 80-100ish from the past times I've killed before recently.
    Im trying to say that I have gotten roughly 1 in 80-100ish kills before, however tip.it has said its a 1/70. And now recently as in today and the past few days, I've killed less than 70 and have gotten effigies frequently.
