I voted no, not 1-2 times a week. The only thing dangerous about smoking it 1-2 times a week, in my personal opinion, is the chance of becoming more addicted and doing it daily.

In my opinion weed got boring. I am smoking since 4 years now and it´s not that much fun anymore.

The "bad" things by weed are
    - in your mind it gets like chilling #1 and school #2
    - after smoking a few years like 1-2gram per day ( + lots of tabak) you will get some annoying slime into your lung which keeps a long time in there.
    - also you can get astma from smoking (weed to XD )
    - expensive which mean if your addicted you have to get like 10-20$ per day

I prefer taking "Tilidin". Thats my favourite drug.

I will try to answer all Runescape related questions!

Normal weed, not the Sherm (or whatever) is fine. It doesn't do anything but make you "High" people find it morally wrong in America because it's against the law. I don't smoke weed, because it's not legal, but if it were, I SURE AS HELL would. Alcohol does WAY more damage to you then Cigarettes. And, it of course does more then Weed, because weed doesn't to anything but stay in your bloodstream longer. I'd say don't do it, because it's not legal. If it ever gets legalized, then by golly, do it. I don't care. My 2 cents

Are you serious? You want to get back into smoking!? This is the kind of stuff memes are made of. If you were really set on smoking you wouldn't be asking a group of scripters for advice.

I smoke every day. Weed and cigarettes. Is it good or bad for me? I could care less.

In my opinion, any form of addiction is unhealthy towards your daily lifestyle. Though it is not the time consuming addiction like gaming, it does affect your health in the long run by smoking weed. Going out and doing some sports could be a stress-reliever for you ( Works for me ). And to get high, I'd just gather a group of friends and go clubbing or something. But I ain't of clubbing age :P. Get high naturally.

^ Not true. My best friend, Alex, smoked 3-4 times a day, and he was in the top 20 in a 700 kid school.

Edit: Just re-read, you said your school. Sorry.

The results of this poll are quite saddening. The true fact is that cannabis has many health benefts. There are several scientific studies that show even when smoked, there is little threat posed to the lungs and respiratory system. In fact, the benefits greatly outweigh any ill effects.

It is amazing to see the lack of knowledge and negative stigma that still surrounds this plant. I just hope that one day everyone can open up their minds and refuse to swallow the misinformation force-fed by popular media.

This is classic "closed-mindedness", I voted out of personal experience and watching my friends lives get mangled (all starting with weed).

I wrote a 5 page research paper on this in college, I have a lot of proof that it is very bad for everyone under 30. Since the brain of younger adults and kids is still developing, it messes it up and causes incapability to learn. It also gives the user a rewarding feeling which makes them feel accomplished. With this happening, just like an animal gets taught new tricks, our mind starts to perceive that marijuana is essential to get the feeling of reward, thus there is continued use. Some may even bump it up to harder drugs such as crack, meth, or heroin to get a higher rewarding feeling. (My brother had these types of things happen to him, and he started with "harmless" weed, too)

Sources? 30 sounds kinda high. And incapability to learn? ... don't think that is accurate either because that implies that you are not able to learn at all...

I think its funny that people use this as a reason for why weed is bad, but at the same time would praise tasty food, video games, and sex. All of these things can and do bring about that wonderful rewarding feeling, which makes life enjoyable. The majority of us can enjoy these seemingly benign forms of indulgence without having serious consequences. Not everyone becomes addicted to sugary-fatty foods, nor does everyone waste their life away gaining fictional levels in runescape, but alas, we do still partake in these things because we ENJOY them. The line cannot be drawn by CHOOSING to do it; however, when consequences arise due to overuse/abuse then you can say there is a problem.

You wouldn't move to ban fast food or video games just because there are some idiots out there messing their lives up, so why do we feel obligated to say that it is the WEED and NOT THE PERSON who is at fault.

Well getting addicted to weed is much worse than sex, food, or video games, simply because it dumbs down your brain and slows some of your natural cognitive responses that you should always have working at full potential. Just because something doesn't kill you, doesn't mean it should be done.

Well, food addiction has lead to more disease and death than weed for sure. Not sure of any deaths for sex or video games, but those were really just examples for something benign that can be overdone to the point where it can have negative consequences on your life. My point being that it makes no sense to make any of those things illegal or look down upon those who choose to partake in them just because there are some people who get addicted.

Not sure where you have researched the "dumbs down your brain" snippet there, but I don't feel like my cognition is really impaired at all at low doses. Like with alcohol, the more you take the more it affects you. I certainly can't argue that I would do math better after say three bowl packs, than if I were sober... but I can say that I would be able to perform just as well with only a few hits (lower dose). Even so, if I need to be able to do something extra mentally/physically straining, the solution is quite simple. Smoke afterwards instead of before.

If you are only looking at the "well it doesn't kill me so it must be healthy" aspect, then yeah I guess you are right. But there is more to it than that. Its effects are obviously liked by a lot of people, and it is a much healthier alternative to alcohol. The problem is that we are treating weed like it is this evil entity, when in reality its risks are much lower.

I smoke weed every day. I usually keep it sober throughout the day at school and work but once I'm home for the evening my roommates and I get ripped. I have a 3.3 GPA at the University of Michigan.

I smoked weed for quite awhile. When I smoked, and now, I just can't stand a majority of the people who smoke. A lot of people who smoke weed, never shut the hell up about weed. No one cares, just get high and shut up. As well, most of the people who try and argue about marijuana being safe have no actual knowledge of it, just the words that some one else has told them. As well it makes me mad when people act like every one is so closed minded because they think its bad, yet they think weed is just all good ect ect. Nothing in the world is "Good." Everything has its pro's and con's. Ibuprofen for example can help get rid of pain, But take too much of it though and you will destroy your liver.

Agreed Noob King. I wish people didn't have to talk about it. Its true that many do not know what the hell they are talking about and have no scientific basis, but we must remember that the illegality of weed in comparison to more dangerous legal drugs fuels this perpetual argument. There are perfectly normal people out there who no different from others aside from the fact that they smoke weed. The discrimination against these individuals is unjust, and therefore sparks debate and all the bullshit going along with it. If people could get over themselves, and stop worrying about others private personal choices then this wouldn't even be an issue.
