    Question As of right now....

Well, I feel like a noob just starting runescape for the first time right now. I am lost on what the best/decent and affordable sets of armor are.

Im mainly looking for range right now, I heard a bunch of fuss saying Royal Bolts are now the strongest in the game, but they changed the bow you can use them on. Used to be rune, but now it is higher I do believe. The dragon crossbow is out, but how do you get it?

Anyways, to the main point.. What do you think are the 'best' set-ups for the average Runescape player, and for maxed people with money.

    Range:

    Cheap set:
    Royal set
    Dual Rune C-Bows
    Barbed Bolts

    Expensive set:
    Karils/Pernix
    D-Cbows
    Royal Bolts

    Mage:
    Ahrims

    Melee:
    Dharok with effect
Veracs is best if not using dharok effect
Torva OFC for the rich peeps

royal d hide used to be the best non-expensive range armour but now i believe its karlis, but pernix and armadyl will always be better.

Well I think for Ranged now you can use DUAL Crossbows, so I would assume that double dragon crossbow would be the highest range attack bonus. Might be wrong here.

What's the best for Mage weapon? I have been using the Iban staff which is okay but I know you can use an offhand weapon as well for faster casting speeds. I know Ahrims is good for melee defence, but does anyone know how to get Necromancer armor?

Verac's armour is better than dharoks with it's prayer bonus so unless you're using dharoks special, Verac's is better. And for the maxed people with money, torva ofc is still the best for melee
