    Default AP chemistry Help?

    We are doing a lab on Crystal violet concentration with Hydroxide. I used a Spectrophotometer to measure absorption and % Transmittance, I now need to find the concentration of Crystal violet.

    Using Beer's law A=ebc

    A= Absorbance

    C= Concentration

    Can I plug % transmittance into eb to solve for concentration? Im having a brain fart and this is due in 12 hours >.<

    Default

    A = Abosorbance
    C = Concentration
    E (epsilon) = molar absorbtivity
    B = Path length, this would be the width of where the light was going to go through on the optically pure glass or quartz (I forget the name of the actual test tubes but they have a special name).

    Assuming you have A, B, and C, solve for E(Epsilon)

    A/BC= E
