Default Tanner - 2.3-2.4k hides per hour

Here I am with my second public script. It's actually a fairly simple AK tanner that doesn't even use SPS. I just decided to mess around today and see how far I could go with literally no knowledge of how to walk. I'm doing my best not to learn about that, but it's obvious that the script would be even faster with appropriate walking procedures (about 100-200 extra hides per hour). I'm not sure I'll optimize this script as it was just a quick daily project to test a few things out, but feel free to comment.

PS: I do consider this script to be very low quality. Don't expect too much out of it.

    Setup
    - Add your account information on your script.
    - Have the hide in your first bank slot.
    - Have energy potions in your second bank slot.
    - Minimize the hotkey bar.
    - Start at AK bank.

    Features
    - Automatically drinks energy potions to replenish energy, yet does't always withdraw a potion.
    - Faster(?) public tanner.
    - Stable (?).
    - Will terminate by itself when you run out of ingredient.

    Known issues
    - A NPC or a player standing on the tanner or bank symbols on the minimap will slow you down.

    Enjoy!

EDIT: First version I posted was outdated and extremely buggy (even though I'm sure you'll find tons of issues with the one posted now. If you had tried the one before this message appeared, try the "new" v1.0.

    EDIT2: I re-uploaded the script with an anti-leech.

Ill try it out next time i need some hides tanned, but the script looks pretty solid itself.

I would highly recommend SPS walking and making your own custom maps for it. Its alot easier then it sounds and the walking is near flawless, ever since i made my first map last month i never went back to other forms of walking besides the occasional ObjctDtm.

Google's Tut on Creating and using SPS custom maps is very good.

    Thank you for the comment.

I do know that SPS is relatively simple. I believe that I've done and I do some much more complex things. It's a self-limitation that I impose upon myself simply for the heck of it. This script was simply a fun test to me to see how I could work around it. I might get back to it another day and complexify the walking to be more precise.

After running it for a bit, I've noticed a lot of errors
    1. if the tanner is standing in the doorway the bot is unable to find it and just stands there till he walks out
    2. it says "cant find bank" and continues to walk south of the bank, but eventually finds it
    3. the bot constantly clicks around the tanning building trying to find the tanner, but keeps clicking outside the walls or on tables and just walks around, after it does this a while it just goes back to the bank
    4. it tries to do everything too fast - it opens the bank and then opens it again and since it opens it twice depositing the inventory of hides fails, so it tries to withdraw the energy potion and hide but doesnt then walks back to the tanner and repeats the process
    Extremely buggy.

The second time I ran it the errors still existed but was about to get around 1.3k hides per hour. Although sometimes it run behinds the bank and gets stuck there still.

I did warn that this was a poor quality script that hadn't been thoroughly tested. Since it relied a lot on findsymbol, it was very easy to confuse the script.

I practically rewrote the script now, using objdtm as the walking procedure and fixing, I hope, all the issues you mentionned. After a bit more testing, I'll add the new version with an anti-leech. I really appreciate people giving me "bug reports" as they help pinpointing issues I didn't foresee. If you'd like the version without the anti-leech to help me testing things out, send me a pm.

I still appreciate you making the script, it's the only one working for me atm, and with blue dleather skyrocketing I made 10m today from the script. I'll send you a pm for the new version

E: Nvm that was a stupid question. I'll see if I can get around this anti-leech and get back to you...

This is a dumb question, but I see it everywhere. What is an anti-leech?

The scripter modified the script with some compiling errors or wrong coding.
So the downloader has to find and solve, to get the script working properly.

Oh my. Been forever since I looked at this script and, to be frank, the available code is an eyesore to the SRL community. I'll see if I can update a new version of the script. I think I have a simple working one using SPS. Another one relies on ObjDTM and RadialWalk.

Either way, I'd add them with failsafes, but which version do you think would be more beneficial to people learning how to script? I'd add that version first.

(They'd need a quick re-read as I add many core functions to my scripts even if I don't use half of them).

I don't think a lot of people will check the script to learn, tbh.
But personally, I would like to see radialwalking.
I don't see it used often and I tried several times, the roadcolor changes A LOT sometimes.
Don't know if the best way is to autocolor or up the tol.
