so, I'm getting a surface pro when it comes out, and I'm just thinking, i suppose win8 supports java(and if not it is almost certainly going to soon) and so in turn RS, (Were they going HTML5 in the future?), how will they distinguish between a bot and a tablet player who can click up to 10 places at once and no mouse dragging what so ever?
also if you think about it you would most likely not rotate camera much and have the keyboard minimized a lot, basically a tablet player would look more like a bot than a bot would haha
playing RS on a tablet could also make the game ALOT more popular i guess as its a low requirement easy click based game
this will be really crazy for them to even hope to detect bots,
also being able to click anywhere while using other hand to move in-game, would this not give a tablet player a really OP advantage?
Surely they cant ban RS from being played on a tablet or something stupid like that? Maybe they would introduce a client sign detecting if your on a tablet, but we could easily virtualize that in a heartbeat...
So SRL my question is, what the hell are they going to be able to do about bots?
if you think about the recent direction of the game perhaps they are ready for the tablet cross-over and RS may become a popular game again? the more i think about it the more i think this game is Perfect for a tablet, low req's low mem, and with the entirely click based style of the game, what you think guys, i know RS has been played via mods on tablets/phones, but on a mass market scale what would happen?
Edit - no clue where this thread belongs, if a mod can move it where it belongs, appreciated, but its a game discussion and to do with RS i guess, so here seemed appropriate enough to post
