Default Villavu member attempting to hack my account?

    CPE-124-182-48-23.lns6.wel.bigpond.net.au

I'm not sure if it's a villavu member or not, but a couple days ago I left my account details in my first script. I can't change my password to the account because of Jagex's faulty password changing system in which email access is required to change the password. There is nothing of value on the account, and I have a PIN set up. The hacker keeps trying to delete my pin, but I just enter my pin and it deletes his delete. I'm not sure if he's from here, but if he is I'd like to know because I think he should be at least warned not to do this again.

A moderator can perhaps see if the IP matches any of the users here.

I've left my account details in my first script as well I quickly removed them lol. Always QUADRUPLE check if they're in the account details or not.

It was probably somebody from here. Sorry that he has your password

:P It could be. I put the question mark there because I'm not sure if it's someone from here or not because I've had password problems in the past before, it just happened to resurface after I left my details in the script. I just want to be sure if it is someone from here that they are warned or whatever consequence comes from it.

Pm a mod with the IP they will check it against the registered users and let you know the findings :P

Not to throw ashes into the fire but I'm 99% positive it was someone who got a hold of your script, most likely a leecher as SRLKing said. It's way to strange it happenned little time after you released the script for being an outsider to hack you, but I could be wrong of course.

You can't change your password with the e-mail associated with that account?

I don't have access to the email it's registered to. I've tried emailing jagex at least 5 times/posting on threads, ect. They won't respond to me :/

I figured it was something like that.

There must be another way, forgetting the password of an e-mail, on a global scale is way too common to be the only way of recovering an account!

I quite frankly, don't know other way, but you could try to search a bit more.

Someone will see the thread and get the IP match you are looking for.
Patiently wait until a super mod comes along and gets a match. They will report it over this thread or another stating the person and punishment. Definitely someone from here if you left your account info in a script. Its unfortunate. Hopefully nothing happens. GL with changing the password.

I have posted there, twice I believe. And there was only around 10 or so views on the script before I edited it if I remember correctly, so I'm not confident theyre from here.

10 is more than enough unfortunately. I posted one with my info in once, but I caught it before anyone got it because I always download the script from the attachment manager before saving the post with the script in it.

I forgot my password for my tester account, however I knew the email it was registered to and just changed my password like that, not knowing the email must be hard, do they tell you the email? Because obz telling you the email means you can see the email address but you don't have the password to go with it? Don't know need to try it haha

I think we all have made this mistake atleast once, or always fear that we will, a good tip if you only use the one account to test/develop/play on, is to edit the loginplayer include for simba to include your username and password, or create your own function in there, instead of entering it in the scripts you plan to release and just leavin them blank, obviously you dont do that if you are specifically testing the log in of your script, but it will prevent you from making this error when making alot of scripts an losing track of where you have your login info and where you dont

Also always CTRL+F search a script and check for username and pw before uploading a script , and even better copy and paste your script to a different folder and upload that so your use versions are serperate to your uploads,

Sorry to hear what has happened, hope you are able to get it resolved, and that the member reponsible is punished accordingly

I made the mistake of leaving my details in a script the other day. Luckily for me i got sent a PM shortly after notifying me of my mistake. I would like to think that most of the members would do the same, but this proves how lucky i was. I usually log in manually before running my scripts so didnt really think to check. Its just another lesson to learn from.

Anyway the mods will sort it out at this end and im sure you can contact jagex to reset your email/password.

    Best of Luck
