    Default Trig Prob

    Well I failed a problem, cba why I can't do it, suppose I've never came across it and I just don't know what to properly do..

    Find h, in measure of feet.

    Given the problem, I know the top point of the tower is sin(163), I think.
    And the other angles are simple to solve for too.. However do I apply the given measurement to the other sides?

    Cheers,
    Lj

    Assuming that the entire length of the bottom thing is 407, feet
    so
    tan(17)=height/407
    therefore
    height=407*tan(17)
    height = 124.419 feet

    Edit: Oh right its only the 17 degree part thats 407. Its a simple cos rule then
