Default Need help installing runescape on PepperMint OS

Ok i've been struggling for ages here, just switched over.
Someone with linux experience to this working for me
I know it's possible through wine, but I read it has memory Limitations.

Most common error is that it says Icedtea 1.3 is out to date, and crashes.

I think I just used windows Java though wine, can't remember though, it was a lot of trial and error. As for the out of date thing, try running

    apt-get update [YourNonUpdatedThing]

^Just from memory, might not work.

Hmm, I've never used peppermint and what I posted might only work for _Ubuntu type linuxes. You could probably google the command for your OS

E: I never could get the official client to work, I had to play through SMART even when I wanted to legit

On Lubuntu when I was using scar, the graphics were awful and the screen kept resizing. Didn't search for fixes though.
But I guess in your case it works fine?

It lagged horribly (5 fps), but I think that was because of the laptop. It was built in 03, had 500mb ram 1.1 ghz processor, and heated up dangerously whenever it was turned on. Although I did use it regularly until I dropped it.

I did get smart & simba working on it though, it was just too slow to bot on. You know how srl compiles in a few hundred milliseconds? On that it took 30 000 milliseconds.

lol , well got rs working using a client, but in overall, rs doesn't work really well with linux. For me atleast
And simba runs really bad . Might switch over to TinyXP or smthing.

    no lag here.
Mouse constant flickers, graphics bit messed up. Can't get any script working as well (which is the most important part hehe)

Edit: just installed tinyxp = also lightweight!, now I gotta get my wifi sorted out though grr. (I suck at this too much)

That's really weird, you should have gone with xubuntu

I tried xp on my old laptop too but the drivers were messed up on xp. Worked fine for xubuntu though.
