    Default General LiveStream Help

Anyone here LiveStream on Twitch or the like?
    What program do you use?
I'm using a free open source program called Open Broadcaster Software it's pretty cool and updated often.

When watching my own stream I see a delay of around 10 seconds is that pretty standard?

Any random tips anyone can give for a new caster?

Not planning to really stream anything just yet, just getting things set up for now.

I stream on Onw3d.tv and I use Xsplit broadcaster. It's got a really simple interface and it helps me a lot. Yeah the lag Is pretty standard. Every stream has got it. I'll be on again tomorrow and I'd be able to help you out if you've got any questions. You're more than welcome to PM me.

As for tips. Just mess around with the interface for an hour or so so you learn all the tricks. That's how I was able to get use to Xsplit.

Yeah it seemed pretty damn simple to me. Got my screen, my webcam in corner, and computer/mic volume all working.
Found my streaming key and I was good to go.

Stream shows what I do ~10 seconds after I do it IRL which I'm reading is pretty standard.

I hear the program I use is a lot like XSplit but free (not sure if XSplit has a free version or not).

My mate uses a free open source streaming program, works way better then xsplit, ill mention you when I can get the program name.

Also a 10 second delay for streaming is normal

Yeah Xsplit does have a free version. And the 10 second lag thing is pretty standard. I'll give your streamer program a look tomorrow. On Xsplit they kind of limit you to certain things. But those never seemed to be any of the things I needed.
