Default Could I squeeze two bots into an average 512Mb VPS?

Hey all, so I'm cheap and only have access to a 512Mb VPS. Do you think it's possible for me to run two simple bots, provided I completely slide the bar up on the right and have the VPS basically dedicated to only running simba?

Thanks all. Here are the VPS stats:

    CPU: 1000MHZ GUARANTEED
    Memory: 512MB GUARANTEED
Disk Space: 20GB (RAID BASED CONFIG)
    Bandwidth: 1000GB/MONTH

    help a broke brother out!

Yeah RS. Any tips on how to maximally lower the bots CPU/RAM usage?

Try to get a good balance with the fps bar. Turn rs cpu usage to min.
Take out on screen proggies as they tend to use up more resources.
edit: it also depends on the quality of the vps as gucci has highlighted :P

Might be different I'm using RSBot cause I can't get Simba on it easily. Depends on the script also, as some use more memory than others

Hmmm yeah I've heard that RSBot is quite taxing, perhaps this is the problem.

Only reason I asked is because I remember reading in an old forum argument about what is better, RiD or Simba, someone said that simba runs smoothly even on 256MB

Yeah I'd really prefer Simba, since RSBot actually sucks :/

Yeah honestly the problem for me is my simba scripts that I need don't work correctly with WINE, so I'm stuck buying these damn expensive windows VPSs >_<

Anyone know another way to get simba compatible on linux without WINE?

With these configurations, one would probably be your max.

As for avoiding the usage of wine, this would be quite tricky/unsuccessful from what I gathered. If I'm not mistaken, there is a simba client that works on wine, but it's incompatible with the SRL repository. Not particularly helpful for botting runescape.

Yeah most scripts work through WINE, it's just unfortunate that this particular one doesn't. When it attempts to log the account in, it puts the correct username in but then just inputs gibberish into the password line. Works fine for my mate's windows PC, so the issue is on my end, not the script.

I find this a bit surprising that the OS would have any effect on what script you can run. Are you sure everything else is the same? Same smart version, same includes, etc.

EDIT: If you want, post the script and I'll try to run it through wine on my side.
