Default Wine for android coming in a few months

For all those who wanted to run windows apps in an android terminal, soon they will be able to do it. I know there are virtual machines like Bochs where you can install windows and do it. But it's pretty uncomfortable.

(for those who don't know what wine is, wine is a compatibility layer that makes it possible to run some Windows apps on non-Windows operating systems)

Soon, in a few months we will have wine for android which will allow us who have android devices run some windows applications.

I'm sure that many of you already knew it, but some won't still know it. It will be pretty useful in my opinion.

That would allow us to run simba in some powerful devieces.

Here is a link for more information for these interested: http://thenextweb.com/apps/2013/02/0...ps-on-android/

PS: Sorry for not giving more information, I'm not an expert on these topics.

Thought about this a few times would be pretty cool to have that option a lot of the time I spend online is on my phone / tablet. But thinking this thru now there won't be many advantages over using what already available on google play ect. So until this can spawn the smart client and can run rs it will stay useless for simba's needs.

Well with RS3 and HTML5 you should be able to play in your browser. I assume it should be possible to bot in your browser somehow..

Yes, but not on Android devices. There is no Java support for Android. But there will be HTML5/WebGL support for Google chrome and perphaps other mobile browsers.

Ah nice man Judging from 1280x768 resolution and the buttons on the right that's a Google Nexus 4? My HTC One got updated to Android 4.2.2 two days ago so I assume I can load RS3 HTML5/WebGL now. Last time I tried it didn't work.

I've also got it working on Ubuntu with Google Chrome. It does run just as good as my main desktop but the specs are much worse. Pretty impressive.

Yes, Nexus 4 =) Love it.

You have to enable webgl in Chrome, go to chrome://flags/ and scroll to the webgl button hit enable.

Ah yeah I found out about this a few day ago. RS3 loads fine, but touch is not registering so there is no way to log in. Even if you could login I doubt you would be able to navigate properly.
