I got caught twice, parents said either drug rehab or some severe rules. I choose the rules because I still wanted to live at home for free...all I did all summer was work and play mw2 lol.

Yeah, but even WITH those extreme cases they don't compare even slightly to what addiction to hard drugs will make a person do. I find it comical when someone mentions "weed" and "addiction" in the same sentence. It isn't statistics but FACT that weed isn't physically addictive. If you don't smoke it you're not going to start getting withdrawals and feel like your body is turning inside out from all the pain. It will definitely be on your mind non stop. That's another issue that to me, being someone who sadly had experiences with substances, isn't at all that hard to deal with. Then again we are all different.

    But back on topic.
Whats going on now? Seen that doctor yet?
What did he suggest? Btw he's going to suggest REHAB (most likely) which will cost around 1800$ bux. Im not here to tell you if you need it or not, but just think it out first cause that doc will try to push you into it.

I'd like to hear an update! (And as an ex-regular user, my opinion is weed is addictive and although not as severe in comparision to other drugs, will cause the users to make bad decisions [both short term and long term][source: watched quite a few of my friends go from high aspirations to low paying-low aspiration dingles])

I never understood this whole grounding thing. I never was grounded, even though I did some pretty bad things, granted not anything to do with drugs, since I don't do either drugs or alcohol, and never will. Now that I think of it, none of my friends were either, and they did much worse stuff than me. I don't know, maybe it's an american thing or something. Always thought it was stupid when people say they were grounded, and then you basically could tell they were from the US.

Don't do drugs though, it's not good for you!

As far as an update. I'm still grounded and have been going to 'rehab' although it's not what you would normally think of rehab. I am going to a doctor that deals with 'teens with drug addictions' and basically so far we've just been going over what like led me into getting involved with drugs etc. I go once a day for the rest of march then every few days once april comes. From then on i'm just going to keep going less and less until i don't feel like i'm compelled to be involved. Otherwise i've made some pretty drastic life changes i would say, i am doing my best to find new friends at school and get involved with a new group of people outside of drugs. I also got a new haircut aswell as a new set of closthes, lots of closthes actually. completely redid everything in my closet, attempting to completely change. I also got a membership to a local gym aswell as a personall trainer so i can get in shape although i was never really out of shape completely. @Benny (the pin man) also recommended me a home workout called Insanity that i have ordered through Amazon that should come in the next few days. So basically i figured it was time to turn my life around, i don't want to be that family member that my family doesn't want and i also don't want to be a bumb on the street, which you aswell as other people in my family have told me is where i'm headed. So i guess it's about time i started getting my act together. I studied for my first test aswell in probably 4-5 years and got a 97% so i'm pretty pleased with that and for once my mom didn't lecture me on how i need to try harder. So overall i would say i'm heading in the right direction, but it's easy to change for a short while and fall back on old habits. I want to do my best to keep getting better and hope thats where i'll end up. So Cause i hope this answered your question for an update. and yeah sorry i just rambled for a long paragraph...

You're doing amazing man. Depending where you live, there is this thing called "daytox". Basically you commit going at least 10hours a week to a place where they have activities like yoga, acupuncture, drawing/painting, weight lifting, etc. It's pretty much something that keeps you occupied when bored rather than thinking back on negative thoughts about using drugs. You did say you're going to start working out at the gym which is on the similar path.

For me personally, the longer the time passes the harder it gets so keeping yourself busy is a must. It was easy to just put it down.

    Good luck.

Yes @idodew I'm so happy to see everything has gotten much better and you took my advice to change up your life!
I've been about busy this week to keep a closer eye on you but I'm really pleased at everything you have started. The hard part is for the next month or so to keep motivated. Once you break that barrier it is easy to settle into a routine that will keep you clear and on the straight path!

    Keeping going hard man!

well put, and to add.. mental pain is often worse.. people mostly have a better ability to deal with physical pain

I hate to point a finger, but look at people who cut, they can easily deal with the physical, and would rather it than the mental.

The point wasn't whether mental or physical pain is worse, it was between sometimes physically addicting vs mentally. Physically meaning you will go into painful withdrawals with every thought consumed by the thought of using, mentally being your every thought consumed by using. Relatable to mental + physical pain, but totally different, and it appears to be pointless to discuss further.

    Back on topic...
    Best of luck!

Maybe once a month, usually to tell me to get up for school or something. But today she decided to clean my room. Well, lets just say she wasn't so happy with what she found... She found 7 Oz of marijuana... which in my area equates to roughly $2,500 USD. Now you may be wondering why i have this in my room. Well to tell you the truth i smoke alot. Not as much as i used to (around 1-2g/day on weekdays and up to 3-4g/day on saturday and sunday) but i smoked around .5g/day every day now. I had this weed because i sell alot of weed. In school and out of school. Now that my mom found it she is most likely going to kill me. So it was nice knowing all of you. see you soon and i will most likely still be on the forums since i payed for all 3 of my computers, so i'm hoping my parents just ground me for the rest of highschool but i can still use my computers. Well that's my story. Good Day everyone and best of luck to not getting murdered tonight.
Tell them you're raising a college fund then got mugged and they made you smoke so now you're addicted.
