Default What color do i pick?!?!

alright i've got the majority of the scripting down.

i just dont know what areas i should grab the color and use it; and also what tolerance do i use?

For rocks like tin, copper, iron, coal, mith, etc... what area should i pick the exact color and what tolerance?
trees? where do i even pick the color ha so many to pick from.

Let me know if you can, Thanks

First, you wanna pick the most vibrant color and the most different from anything else, like you pick the orange in copper other than the brown.

However, the thing with picking colors is that they: may change over time, they can be similar to something else you try to pick, and these two reasons one more time. Best use DTMs which is a better way to find out a stationary objects position and color.

Also tolerance is the rating on how serious it will get when trying to find that exact color (low numbers) and how laid back it'll be (high numbers).

EDIT: was reading, seems simple to get DTM, but how can i use it in a FindColorTolerance? or a way to incorporate it into my girst chop script?

I personally learned through Yohojo's youtube channel, to me it was the easiest to understand. And I don't really know much about that function but I know a lot of people use them in their own scripts. maybe you can try to figure it out or just shoot them a message.

Look in Yohojo's video tutorial Making a Script for Runescape 1/2, it shows how to use FindObjTPA to find trees. For rocks FindObjCustom should suffice if you choose your colors well, although more advanced methods like TPAs will be more reliable

I suggest using ACA (Auto Color Aid) to get colors, it highlights matching colors for you so you can see what will get clicked on
